Staff seemed nice enough as walking through on the morning of departure. They all said morning.
Cracks to plaster in bathroom and mattress seemed to be lacking support right on the edge. Lift not working in the evening and following morning.
Price, staff and comfort
Towels and laundry were clean but smelt very bad.
The room was comfortable. And the bathroom was nice and clean. Definitely coming back here.
The bed was to wide.
Friendly, helpful staff. Huge, comfortable bed in a nice clean room. We were able to check in early, which was very convenient.
Noisy, drunk people arriving at 3-4am. Smoke alarm sounded at 7am and repeated several times. (We decided to leave early and go home to complete our sleep.) Not entirely the hotel's fault as this is a town centre hotel and it was Saturday night but be warned.
I have stayed here several times before and have always had a comfortable and pleasent stay. The Hotel provides very good value for money and I look forward to returning soon. I was very impressed by the young gentleman who served us at the bar, not only was he very polite but he was also very hardworking, professional and even recommended a local curry house for my wife and I (at our request to him) which too was very good.
Perfect Location, room was spotless and very comfortable, the staff very helpful and friendly.
Rooms and services
Smell of cigarettes smoking was overwhelming .
Comfy bed good wi fi
Breakfast terrible. Lots of reserved tables we were unable to use. Then shown by a member of staff to a table in the conservatory that was still covered in dirty plates. Had to get own cutlery, and hardly any breakfast items available even though there was still half an hour of service left. Then a comment was made by the waitress about the number of fried eggs we had.
It suited its purpose-was there for the races, Only cost £50 It was clean
Rooms & beds looked bigger on line, My bed creaked everytime I moved( reported to reception on departure-room115,bed nearest the door). Breakfast was £1 dearer than quoted on phone & sausages were way overcooked
value for money and quality of food
The room was perfect, clean comfy big enough to feel cosy. Breakfast was great too.
The shower could have been better.
the hotel was ideal for the wedding that we had been invited to
What upset me with this visit that there were some rugby players staying at this hotel. This did not offend me what I did find offensive was the bad laugage and total disregard for any other of the hotel partrons who were having breakfast. I was informed that the staff had mentioned there langage and behavior but this was to no avail. I feel offensive behavour is unacceptable, and these guest should be aware that this is a hotel, and not their changing room, and I find the F---ing every other work totally unacceptable.
The rooms were spacious and the bed was comfy, bathroom was quiet large and but was clean which is the main thing, would definatly stay again as the location is bang on
The wifi was poor couldnt pick up the signal and breakfast was not worth the money we payed but was not really an issue
WOKEN UP AT 4:30 a.m. WITH FIRE ALARM RINGING. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THERE WERE NO STAFF ( UNTIL ) ENTRANCE TO HOTEL, TO ADVISE AND GUIDE. EVERYONE WAS RUNNING AROUND IN A PANICK. A P.A. SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED TO ADVISE CLIENTS WHAT TO DO ETC.
Bed is very comfortable and it's huge, plenty pillows available too. Very clean, shower cap, shampoo and soap also provided. Breakfast is lovely, good selection and fresh. All round fabulous and very happy as I got married here on 30th August and all my guests were happy with my choice of hotel .. bonus !
One of the breakfast staff was quite rude to numerous guests that had seated, but nothing that you cant let go over your head!
Everything, Staff, Hospitality, Cleanliness, Food,
Nothing to report !
The receptionist that dealt with me was superb. She was very helpful, friendly and professional. A credit to the hotel.
The interior of the hotel is quite dated, just needs a bit of paint !
Clean, comfy room.
No air con and the window barely opened & it was a sunny day so it was rather hot in the room especially when drying my hair!! I requested a late checkout when I booked online & was told i'd get a response in 48 hours. No response was received so I rang up & the staff weren't that helpful or accommodating.
Bathroom had not been cleaned !
The overall experience was good, the staff were helpful and polite and the breakfast was good
There was a problem with the fire alarm system the night we stayed and the alarms were going off at 445am and i didnt go back to sleep, a technical hitch which is a shame as the hotel itself was great
As soon as you arrive at the reception we were greeted. The Hospitality was very good thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will be coming back next year for the Festival, if not sooner. Thank you .
Nothing to say!
Excellent display of calmness under pressure from the receptionist whilst checking in. Hotel clean but a bit tatty around the edges.
I didn't like the fact that Booking.com hadn't secured my reservation for 4 twin rooms and that it took ½hr to eventually check-in, much to the annoyance of my travelling companions who were chomping at the bit to get to the pub!! The WiFi signal in the room was useless. The bar looked shut when it was open! (Was that a hint?)
Comfy big bed. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Good location.
Bar prices ha ha
