Most staff were friendly and helpful, shower facilities were excellent, location was perfect for shopping and nightlife One particular older member of staff, extremely rude! Not helpful at all, rather insulting ! Would not return specifically for this reason. A real shame because the hotel was lovely!

The staff made this hotel a pleasure to stay in. All the staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble - particularly for the restaurant manager who bent over backwards to help and accommodate an awkward group of friends with ever changing needs. Franco deserves a medal! The reception staff were also excellent and really helpful. My room was 116. The heating had not been turned on prior to our arrival, unlike all the other rooms in our party, so it was like a fridge. Even once the heating was switched on (via a switch round the back of the radiator which was not visible) the room never got really warm over the whole weekend as the radiator in this room is tiny and couldn't cope with the freezing temperatures. Consequently we were always cold in the room and needed an extra duvet each to sleep at night. Apart from this I couldn't fault the hotel.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The room was spacious and I slept very well. I chose not to have breakfast or an evening meal in the hotel so cannot comment about these services but the facilities looked to be of a high standard. The wi-fi code would only work on one device, which was not explained to me, and after I had linked it to my phone, I was unable to do the same for my laptop leaving the service useless.

Ideal for visiting Wigan to watch the Warriors. Really comfortable king-size bed. The bathroom taps turn the wrong way, you get splashed when you try to turn them off!! The view from our bedroom overlooked the dirty and rubbish strewn service area. Other than that, it's a pleasant and comfortable hotel

Very friendly staff, keen to please. Large comfortable room that was wonderfully quiet [it was on the side of the hotel away from the road]. Paid £60/room inc Breakfast which was overall excellent value for money. Not good for access to local amenities, especially on a cold dark winter's evening. Restaurant food was overpriced and breakfast very ordinary.
