Location and room size very good. Bathroom - WC seats felt very cheap (thin plastic). Breakfast - no fresh fruit salad, tinned. £8.00 if booked ahead but £13.95 if taken on the day, I thought £8.00 was too much.

I found the hotel to be ideally situated in the Town and close to Haig Hall where I was attending a wedding. The hotel was very clean and comfortable rooms. I would recommend it to anyone. I felt that the room prices should include breakfast and not charge extra for a basic meal

Clean room, quite, and located right beside town centre Wigan Oak boasts WiFi and it has WiFi. In 2012 WiFi is by far the most important facility but the Wigan Oak system is pathetic. I had to wait until day 2 to get a code from reception - then every time I left the hotel I had to type in the long code and long password to re-enter the system. I take this as deliberate unhelpfulness and obstruction - planned to reduce the business level in the hotel so that it will fail and close down - and I detest not understanding why this is the aim of an otherwise v convenient hotel. Secondly - breakfast seemed to have plenty of staff and no one in charge. I asked for HOT tea and was brought warm tea. No cup and no milk, and I got these off another table while staff watched. Suggestion - eliminate all your Wifi codes and make it available freely and easily.

The bathroom floor being tiled, it was extremely cold when on bare feet . Perhaps one or two bathroom mats would help!

The beds were very large & comfortable. Nice modern bathrooms. The reception & bar staff were friendly & accomodating. Free parking. Late checkout time. The breakfasts are rather expensive and can be obtained for a quarter of the cost at the local Weatherspoons pub.

Quiet and Comfortable room. Convenient location. Free Parking and Free Wifi (even in room) Food and Drink in Hotel was too expensive for the budget. Room 310 had a small heater and was therefore very cold.
