Hotel 53    

La situación es muy buena. La limpieza del hotel también y los baños muy bien para lo que se estila en UK. En calidad/precio está bien para lo que hay por York. Hay detalles como galletas todos los días y kettle para infusiones.

Sorprende que no hay armarios, no hay minibar, no hay caja fuerte... Está bien para una estancia muy corta o escapada de fin de semana, pero no para varios días.

Atención al cliente era muy bueno

Piden una fianza de 30 pounds al entrar que no esperaba. Eso si, me devolvieron al final de la estancia.

1. York Great city. 2. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. 3. The breakfast was excellent.

1. I booked a family room with a double and 2 single beds for my young grandchildren ages 5 and 8. I got a mammoth double bed and a bedsettee. Hopeless trying to get them to sleep. 2. The room overlooked the main road which seemed to be a racing track for party-goers on Sat night. Horrendously noisy until the early hours. 3. No water came out the shower in the morning and only a dribble out the bathroom taps. Not a good experience.

Clean room and friendly staff.

Very small family rooms and breakfast was made from cheap produce.

Very friendly receptionist and bar man both willing to recommend restaurants and so on. Was very pleased with the place and for £65 I didn't think it was bad at all.

The location up Piccadilly perhaps gave me bad first impressions but walking around the Cliffords tower way was much more enjoyable.

some items in the bathroom needed a bit of attention ( shower head, toilet cistern running all the time). Quite noisy at night - like the walls are not that thick !

Location

This was our 4th stay at 53 but first stay with daughter - the family room was far too small No car parking space available despite car park being empty. Noise from pub opposite

thought reception was a bit scruffy, needs a new rug put down.

rooms were below premier inn standards tv was tiny shower was filthy hotel corridors were very scruffy I have paid less to stay at the queens in leeds on the executive floor than I did at hotel 53

Bed room comfort was great..no iron facilities in room and no cupboard

No ironing facilities and no wardrobe.

Road noise

When we checked in we were told that I had booked a twin room for me and my partner which was my mistake but the guy at reception upgraded us to king room at the drop of hat which we were over the moon about.

The shower tray did over flow and spilled onto the bathroom floor but was sorted by the manager him self within 5mins of reporting it.

The location.

We were put in a disabled room when not required. As this was a disabled room there was no storage space ie wardrobes. The bed was comfy however it was smaller than a double bed as stated on website.

Nothing, I'd recommend it.

Decor was really nice. The room was clean and comfortable. Lots of towels and tea/coffee in the room. Free WiFi.

Fold down sofa/bed for my child made it impossible to move around the bed. I think the Saturday room cost was far too much! Also not sure why they asked for £30 credit card payment on arrival when paid in full including breakfast. Only had to pay £5 for child's breakfast which we were then asked to pay cash for on departure!!

The hotel is very central and is spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable and the showers are very powerful. The reception staff and the breakfast staff in the restaurant are very kind and helpful. There is parking available opposite the hotel.

The evening menus in the restaurant make no provision for children or vegetarians. The attitude of the restaurant staff in the evenings is dismissive. The furniture in the reception area is very difficult to get up from.

The service from staff was excellent and the room was clean.

Had to be moved from our first room due to a strong smell of smoke and in the second room the shower was cold both in the evening and in the morning.
