Centrally situated and within the historic city walls, this modern, 100-bedroom hotel is ideal for all travellers, and features a restaurant offering an extensive menu to suit all budgets.

Located in the city centre, Hotel 53 regularly offers leisure breaks and short break deals, and is the ideal place to stay when visiting York. Less than 2 miles from York Racecourse, the glass-fronted, 6-floor hotel is furnished in a warm, minimalist style. All rooms have pay video, a hospitality tray and a large walk-in shower. Disabled and twin bedded rooms are available on request.

Conference suites with air conditioning, natural daylight, ISDN video conferencing and wireless internet access are available for both day / 24-hour meetings.

Hotel location was very good. Would recommend the hotel but only because of location.

Aimed more as a conference/business type of hotel as the rooms were not inviting to spend much time in. Little space for sitting and relaxing and no storage for clothes which had to remain in the suitcase.

i thought everything was great the staff were fantastic very friendly and helpfull the hotel itself was spotless an ideal location because in the centre is choked with car fumes but a fantastic city

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and polite. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is ideally located for all of Yorks tourist areas.

The room got a little too hot at night but there was not a top sheet on the bed so you either roasted under the quilt or were too cold on top of it!

The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the room was well decorated

The Hotel didn't have any atmosphere. Was a bit too clinical. Needed comfy pillows to match the bed ~ the room would then have been 10 out of 10

I had booked this hotel as I was taking my boyfriend for his birthday, the hotel was close to all amenties, the staff were very friendly, the room was immaculate and all in all I would return to stay there again.
