location was exellent there was a crane outside very early sunday morning that was very loud.but once i complained the manager was quick to resolve. |

Excellent staff, clean, excellent breakfast attentive staff. was disturbed by noisey social club behind hotel, but thankfully the music finished at 11.15pm, normally we wouldnt have been in bed so early only we left London at 6am and had done a lot of walking in york |

Very modern hotel, comfortable and a convenient location as only a short walk into the centre of York. Lovely shower! It was very noisy due to the air conditioning units at the back of the hotel, even with the windows closed the vents remained open which added to the noise. |

Convenience for city cemtre/shopping. Duty Manager Mark Leatherbarrow did everything he could to allleviate the big problemn. Only lift broke down and we were on 5th floor. Agonising at 74 with arthritis. Have complained to Hotel 53 requesting monetary compensation |

Very close to the city centre. Good size, clean rooms with comfortable bed. Bathroom with good sized shower. Limited on sire car parking. Parking was though available nearby in open city car park protected by cctv. Charges on the high side for daytime parking. |

The restaurant staff were fantastic, they were very attentive and made our meal times enjoyable. The room was freezing dispite the so called 'heater' being on, also the staff are obviously used to business men/women staying and we felt we recieved an inferior service at times. |

Staff were friendly and the rooms were comfortable if a little too 'minimalist' for my taste. Good location for tourism. Free Wi-fi was a big plus. The car park was full so we had to park a 10 minute walk away (although it was very cheap.) The showers were cool?cold at peak times. |

Good access to the city centre. Rooms were nicely done. No problems with the reservation. Having to pay upfront was a bit untrusting. (considering details were provided on booking). The beds were too small, and the parking was inaadequent considering the price. |

The fact that it was so close to the shops. We thought the standard of accommodation was more suited to a budget hotel, yet the price was expensive. Poor value for money. |

Secure Parking was good. Meals were excellent, if a little cold. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only one arm chair in the room, when two people are sharing. |

the hotel was clean and tidy the staff were helpful i thought the wardrope space was strange as anyone coming into your room ie. the maid could see all your clothes |
