Comfortable room, with everything we needed. Good size bed and nice bar/lounge area to relax in which served food all day. Great value for money would definitely go again, fantastic location.
We had an emergency at home so had to leave early and missed our second night that we had paid for - not the hotels fault though!!
Based at the foot of Mount Snowdon the hotel could not be more suitably located for anyone looking to enjoy a walking holiday
The only minor (and this is very minor) is that the showers have very poor water pressure.
Location and room
Friendly staff, room warm, big bath, loads of hot water. Good location.
No comfy seating/sofas in the lobby to relax in. Workmen started working in room above at 7am dispite staff being aware
We stayed at the Royal Victoria with our 14 month old daughter, staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs, we would stay again.
Great location easy parking breakfast bath+shower large towels tea maker in room nice "gardens"
Someone smoked in the bar !! Lorry parking at 3am creaky floor boards outside lights at night
I asked for ground floor room as am a smoker and got one right next to designated smoking area so very pleased. Was late for breakfast first day but staff kindly offered a continental breakfast. Cooked breakfast next day and staff very nice.
There was particularly high winds when stayed so window ratted all night so had a restless night.
A large hotel , a good bar where I ate both nights . Clean & a good size bed room , loads of hot water. Don't let renovations put you off
They were doing some building work while I was there , which happened to be above my room , all day ! Also started 0715 on my last day but soon stopped .
Staff were superb. Excellent value for money Upgrade. Would recommend this hotel & will visit again
Staff & food absolutely excellent, the hotel was very comfortable with stunning views. A brilliant stay!
The room with a view of the mountains and a second side window onto the town.
Little cold in the night.
The most pleasant surprise was the quality of the dinner. The lamb entree was one of the best I have had in Wales, which in itself sets a high bar. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
Good location, good food and very pleasant staff
Generous breakfast, nice location, friendly staff
Wi-fi speed was super-poor (below 1MB) and connection was unstable. Even simple Google search was taking minutes to open. (Come on, guys, it's 21st century! Staying connected is not optional any more). I would definitely recommend to avoid this hotel if you need any web/mail access. Also there was no sockets near bed. Not very convenient. When booking the room, there was a bathtub icon on the offer. But in fact I did not notice any sign of bathtub in the room. Instead the room was equipped with shower which had gigantic stains of black mould in the corner and on the wall (room 105).
Good food, they listened to my room preferences, warm room
Bit noisy and bed too hard
Mostly happy with my stay. Excellent location and good value.
The carpet in the room was a bit dirty and full breakfast was not great. Other than that all good.
Beautiful view, comfy bed!
Bar staff very poor and unprofessional, Hotel tired and dusty in places including bedroom, Cleanliness very poor. Reception staff couldn't recommend anywhere to eat.
warm bed redecorated room top floor refurbishment value for money breakfast verandah location
1970s style sitting area threadbare patches on landing carpets ceiling wallpaper curling at edges
I booked online on speck as it was the nearest available to Snowdon. Two nights BandB good value. We were late arriving but staff were great. Room was warm clean and comfortable.Breakfast was excellent.Late back from Snowdon couldnt get in restaurant, bar food was top notch and although busy, staff were so efficient and helpful. We will stay with you again and recommend you to friends.
The bed was very comfortable and the staff were friendly. Location is excellent for all walking and watersports activities.
Alittle noisy in the night - the floorboard were creaky.
Access to Snowdon Restaurant was excellent
Location of Hotel was Perfect for the Llanberis Snowden Treck, Breakfast was freshly cooked on order, even had veggie Sausages and very accommodating of our vegiterian dietary requirements.
Very uncomfortable bed (spring mattress), dated decor, sqwicky floor boards, small TV and blocked bath tub for three days. The tea cups and plates were dirty, apparently dishwasher problems for three days.
Breakfast was excellent. Good couteous staff. Location excellent for Snowdon Hicking.
Room was resaonable but spider web- 2 on ceiling. not cleaned properly, an empty baby wipe pack in a draw. Bathroom smelled of urine on first enterence and then nose got eclimitized.
The hotel is perfectly located for the Snowdon climb, especially with it being across the road from the starting point. This helped on our return journey as we didn't have to walk further to get to our final destination. The hotel room that we stayed in had been very recently renovated, whereas the rest of the hotel seems a little dated. This didn't spoil our experience as we weren't sleeping in the corridors! :) Breakfast was good with a nice array of food available, with a nice hot selection of cooked food which was made to order.
If the hotel has further modernisation then I think this could very easily be a four star hotel.
