Good location, good food and very pleasant staff
Generous breakfast, nice location, friendly staff
Wi-fi speed was super-poor (below 1MB) and connection was unstable. Even simple Google search was taking minutes to open. (Come on, guys, it's 21st century! Staying connected is not optional any more). I would definitely recommend to avoid this hotel if you need any web/mail access. Also there was no sockets near bed. Not very convenient. When booking the room, there was a bathtub icon on the offer. But in fact I did not notice any sign of bathtub in the room. Instead the room was equipped with shower which had gigantic stains of black mould in the corner and on the wall (room 105).
Good food, they listened to my room preferences, warm room
Bit noisy and bed too hard
Mostly happy with my stay. Excellent location and good value.
The carpet in the room was a bit dirty and full breakfast was not great. Other than that all good.
Beautiful view, comfy bed!
Bar staff very poor and unprofessional, Hotel tired and dusty in places including bedroom, Cleanliness very poor. Reception staff couldn't recommend anywhere to eat.
warm bed redecorated room top floor refurbishment value for money breakfast verandah location
1970s style sitting area threadbare patches on landing carpets ceiling wallpaper curling at edges
I booked online on speck as it was the nearest available to Snowdon. Two nights BandB good value. We were late arriving but staff were great. Room was warm clean and comfortable.Breakfast was excellent.Late back from Snowdon couldnt get in restaurant, bar food was top notch and although busy, staff were so efficient and helpful. We will stay with you again and recommend you to friends.
The bed was very comfortable and the staff were friendly. Location is excellent for all walking and watersports activities.
Alittle noisy in the night - the floorboard were creaky.
Access to Snowdon Restaurant was excellent
Location of Hotel was Perfect for the Llanberis Snowden Treck, Breakfast was freshly cooked on order, even had veggie Sausages and very accommodating of our vegiterian dietary requirements.
Very uncomfortable bed (spring mattress), dated decor, sqwicky floor boards, small TV and blocked bath tub for three days. The tea cups and plates were dirty, apparently dishwasher problems for three days.
Breakfast was excellent. Good couteous staff. Location excellent for Snowdon Hicking.
Room was resaonable but spider web- 2 on ceiling. not cleaned properly, an empty baby wipe pack in a draw. Bathroom smelled of urine on first enterence and then nose got eclimitized.
The hotel is perfectly located for the Snowdon climb, especially with it being across the road from the starting point. This helped on our return journey as we didn't have to walk further to get to our final destination. The hotel room that we stayed in had been very recently renovated, whereas the rest of the hotel seems a little dated. This didn't spoil our experience as we weren't sleeping in the corridors! :) Breakfast was good with a nice array of food available, with a nice hot selection of cooked food which was made to order.
If the hotel has further modernisation then I think this could very easily be a four star hotel.
wonderful views, really nice reception staff, breakfast/restaurant staff helpful and polite. food was lovely.
one member of bar staff seemed put out that i requested food! they need a reliable wifi in all rooms.
Wonderful setting with stunning view of the area. Many attractions to see and especially the steam train rides.
Transport links -bus times were tricky to co-ordinate when planning to see attractions outside the local area.Easier no doubt by car!
The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Excellent service throughout our stay. The receptionist was so excellent and very knowledgeable
Very welcoming and friendly staff. Location is great for walking Mt Snowdon and the views from hotel dining room great too. Evening meal was really great - large portions after a day's walk!
Wasn't impressed with the cooked breakfast quite unpalatable. The alternatives were nice though so avoided the cooked breakfast the following day.
Location was great, food was good, bed was very comfortable and the staff (in the main) were very helpful.
Son's room - window catch broken; shade on lamp had huge stain Our room - no view at all - wall right in front of the window; bath and tiles could have been a lot cleaner
breakfast to order, not a buffet. Now has real ale available.
The experience with the hotel and service of all the staff that we encountered on our 3 day stay was excellent as usual. Thats why we have stayed for our 3rd visit in Llanberis.
We loved the location - not far from Snowdon (if you like climbing mountains), beautiful lakes and there were things to do around and about. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily. We really enjoyed our stay - this is the second time we've been and would definitely come again (I could practise my piano pieces as well - bonus :) ). We found the bed to be comfortable and we slept well. The food was good and reasonably priced. Excellent place - looking forward to another visit sometime!
On the first night we booked our dinner with the hotel restaurant. The burger was burned, but they were good about it and provided a new dinner and we also had to wait 2 hours for the dessert - I think we had been forgotten, but they did bring us a complementary cheese board, to our room. (that was in the restaurant, the bar was much quicker). To be fair though 90+ people from 2 coach holidays arrived all at once so must have been overwhelming. The previous time we stayed we didn't have a problem at all so hopefully that was a once off!
The location and parking.
Poky room. It was a twin, but I'm glad I was on my own as there was not a lot of room. The little wrapped up soaps in the bathroom were impossible to unwrap. Breakfast offering was a bit dull. Tired old breakfast cereals, tiny croissants and unpleasant pain au chocolates.
Fantastic location for scenery. Good value for money meals and to a good standard... plenty of room in the different bar areas.
Room was a little stuffy as window could not be opened...
Location is ideal for walking up Llanberis Path to top of Snowdon We had a good view of the mountains to wake up to each day. Good choice of menu for Breakfast & Evening Meals (cheaper in the Bar than Restaurant)
Being woken up at 4am by false fire alarm due to water ingress from roof getting into system.
Staff were very helpful location excellent for purpose of visit.
Hotel looked as though refurbishment had started but still needed to be completed. Reviews would be different if this was finished Wardrobe space much to small!
