Good simple and efficient breakfast, excellent steps to ensure that the noise from the station itself was minimised. Friendly front desk. Building with character. Could expand to include fancier breakfast options for those happy to pay extra. |

Location was good. The bed was really uncomfy & squeaky, had to have sex on the floor. Only one pillow on the bed each. The shower was very poor. |

I was very impressed by the quality of service provided by the members of staff in all departments as they all had time for the guests no matter who they were. |

Old fashioned atmosphere and central location. Older parts of hotel not clean - especially old water pipes in room - they were thick with dust. |

location was central, special rates were attractive and they had off road parking. Room was stale and with window open the surrounding noise levels from road / rail made the night uncomfortable. |

Beer at £2.50 and Whisky at £2.00 was very good value and the bar was spacious Got charged £9.95 for a full breakfast of 1 Egg,1 Sausage,1, slice of Bacon,1 tomato and 1 potato slice which was a total rip off as most do a buffet self service. This was not and on. |

Convenient location, near town centre, station and airport, besides, to restuarants, cafes and a launderette. Car parking good. Basic rooms and value for brief stay. Uncomfortable bed, lack of towels, toiletries and toilet paper. Requested for extra pillows twice, but nothing materialised. The room smelt musty and was not fresh or clean, certainly lacked all the details of what once was a grand hotel. Desperate need for refurbishment throughout. |

Staff you helpful and pleasant and the room was clean with clean bedlinen and towels. Plenty of refreshments ie tea coffee etc in room. Could have done with two pillows. The whole place is shabby and in need of major refurbishment - carpets, decor, lift. Wood around the windows is rotting - shame. |

Good price, and right next door to the train station so it's very convenient. Has a rustic old-timey feel to the place which is actually kind of nice. "Double Room" is basically a twin room with the beds pushed together. Why not save £20/night by pushing the beds together yourself? Hotel could use some maintenance also (we had a lamp falling out of the wall above the bed) |

We have stayed at the station hotel many times as we love Ayr .The hotel is central for everything and nice pleasant staff,it is an old hotel so you should know when you book it is not the most modern but it is clean and tidy Only a small heater in the room, however this did heat the room very quikly |
