Spotlessly clean, comfortable, friendly staff and a great breakfast. Plenty of parking, too. What more could you ask for? If you're into music, this hotel is ideally situated to walk to Mr Kyps. Nothing.

The reason for our stay was to visit our daughter who is working in the area. Very pleasant hotel, traditional in style. It was comfortable and welcoming with a lovely airy dining room looking out onto the patio. Breakfast was good, our bed was comfy and the makings of tea and coffee were provided. We needed nothing more. Not really a gripe for us, but some guests may find the shower room a tad snug.

Excellent breakfast. Very comfortable hotel. En suite shower room a little small (room 16) but spotlessly clean. Plenty of parking, even on a busy weekend. Will stay here again. Nothing. Some of decor a bit tired but everything very clean and hotel is very well appointed.

Convenient location, clean and comfortable, small hotel with some character, we had a nice room with a view of the park, quiet restful night's stay, pleasant staff, excellent breakfast and free parking. We would go there again. No fixed shower with the bath in this particular room - but only a minor quibble in the overall context.

Staff friendly and helpful. Location excellent. Breakfast superb. Tea and coffee making facilities very welcoming. On arrival and shown to room greeted with icy blast as no heating put on in room. Not very welcoming.

This is a well run establishment. I note that there have been some adverse comments. Perhaps these were from other hotel owners trying to smear this hotel in order to reduce their competition. We found it neat tidy with very capable and helpfull staff. We only had one meal the breakfast but we will certainly return and when we do we will try the evening meal. In our room the shower needs updating. Not the best bathroom we have been in but not the worst and no reason to avoid this hotel.

Nice quaint hotel with a nice warm room that was very homely. Breakfast was marvellous with proper back & fresh bread. Hats off to the owners, a lovely little place to stay.

Made to feel right at home by Paul the owner and nothing was too much trouble for him. Travelling by boat to and from Poole, the hotel is located is only a few minutes from the harbour and is great for when the boat timings are awkward.

The food is excellent - the lamb shanks we had were slow-braised in the traditional way and were exceptionally good. The hotel is dog-friendly and golfers are always welcome there. The Quarterdeck is VERY HIGHLY recommended by me. Nothing - it is a very good place.

Very good full English breakfast - able to choose whatever you liked. Would have been more comfortable if there had been an armchair in the room - just 2 hard wooden seats and the en-suite shower room was very small. A bit too far out of central Poole to walk.
