The visit was to meet old friends. I found the inn very quickly. The bar area was well laid out and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. A good choice of beers and the menu was adequate and reasonably priced. Service was very good.
Limited parking as there was only a small car park. Some road noise was heard during my stay but was not a problem.
Very enjoyable stay! Will come again
Cannot fault at all
Friendliness and location. Very fair price too
had an enjoyable stay. staff were friendly, breakfast was very good.
slept at the front of the pub which was noisy from the traffic of a main road.
The owners were very nice and so was staff made you very welcome. Food very good.
There was nothing we didn't like. Everything was as it should be.
It was only 10 minutes away from the Channel Ferries.
The situation of the property. Traffic lights lit up our bedroom continuously through out the night.
Noise from the bar and the very busy road. Breakfast availability too late for us
My wife and I both found the Queen Mary comfortable and friendly. The Breakfast was good value ,as were all other meals we had.
The rooms aren't massive but perfectly adequate and clean and comfortable. Friendly owners provide a really good cooked breakfast at a very reasonable price. And obviously the bar downstairs is ideal for a nightcap! A good selection of home cooked food on offer but sadly didn't have time to try that although judging by breakfast I would think it is well worth trying.
Nothing not to like and highly recommended.
We had a lovely stay here. The staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Location very good for the train station and Poole Quay.
Nice people in a charming old English style pub.happy to get somewhere to stay. Didn't like that I had to hang up the phone from talking to the proprieter just to book on line because of some contract with this website , found the room noisy & bed lumpy. For £90 seemed a bit much.
This traditional pub is the closest accommodation to the ferry terminal.
Would be very reasonably priced if the guests could stay long enough for the cooked breakfast, but this is not available until after 9 am, so I guess most people like me do without, we are there so as to catch the morning ferries!
room was very basic. bedding sub standard. breakfast only being served between 9 and 10 which mean't we didn't have breakfast because we had to leave by 8.30. no offer by owners to give us breakfast earlier or even a packet of biscuits to tied us over. all and all for £90.00 per night + breakfast extra i would not recommend this place to any one.
Nice couple, good location and great value for money, will definitely return.
Photos on the web don't so it justice, rooms ate better than they look on the web
Price and location.
Mick & Lisa made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Mick's help with our travel plans was appreciated, Lisa's friendliness gave the stay a homely feel.
Mick and Lisa are great.
Lovely room and very clean with everything you could want
Windows could do with being replaced to stop a lot of the noise from the road. It is on a very busy road leading to the port and traffic started getting busy early in the morning
good reception, very helpful, room perfect for our stay, first class, we will try and stay there again.
Arrived late, nice welcome back to UK. Friendly owners, great breakfast, clean and comfortable.
It was comfortable enough although a little pricey for what you got.
Clean room Big bed Great location in the centre of Poole Tea and Coffee facilities
Got noisy fairly early in the morning due to traffic coming off the ferry
The owners were welcoming & friendly, the room was a good size and comfortable. We had a great breakfast. Just a short walk to Poole quay from the pub.
Friendly couple who managed the property. Room comfortable and excellent location to the main centre of Poole.
Road noise - it was really warm weather so had to have the window open at night, but were constanyl awakned by noisy traffic.
