the location was the main reason, but the price came a close second. it is ideal for a 2 or 3 night leisure visit to belfast. having the use of the kitchen area enables you to keep costs down rather than eating out at night. breakfast was included and very nice. no tv in the room would be an issue if you were in early evening.

Perfect for a short stay in Belfast. As single rooms were needed we were able to avoid the usual single supplement when staying in a double room. Breakfast was also excellent. Also very close to the Ulster Museum which is just inside the Botanical gardens. i'm not really into Museums but this one was excellent and well worth a visit. It's a bit of a walk from the City Centre with luggage. I would have booked a taxi / caught the bus if I'd not misread the map!

The sound proofing is really bad and every time a door is shut it reverberate loudly as is the sound of the person in the room above walking around, I found it very difficult to get to sleep until very late in the night. I doubt I would want to stay at Elms again for these reasons. Which is unfortunate because otherwise its a really nice place.

The friendliness of the staff and their willingness to respond to and assist with my queries - for example, an initial confusion over the readiness of my room was resolved quickly and with apologies and good humour, and I was also able to check out at 4.30am to catch an early flight, because the reception is manned 24 hours a day. It offers safe, self-contained, well-located accommodation, and I will certainly choose Elms Village again when I return to Belfast - hopefully for a longer stay.

24/7 reception with friendly, helpful staff. A clean, decent place to stay close to the university without spending too much. Good breakfast. One tiny soap for a whole week? Furthermore, no extra blankets in the room. Some nights were quite chilly.
