Parking was good, room was cheap, bed was well comfy and we could see the mountains from our room. Tv was cool and breakfast was good. One staff member was a bit weird, and the room we were in was very antique but not in a good way everything else was spot on.

Clean room, comfy bed, working bathroom. Straight out of front door into Keswick High Street. Magnificent view of Skiddaw from the room. Easy and convenient parking. Good beer in the bar. Considerably better price than competing B+Bs in Keswick centre. Free wi-fi worked without fuss. The breakfast sausage was a bit bready.

Not a lot, breakfast probably. 1st room offered had a fire exit leading off of it, sign posted above my door. When I enquired at reception I was told yes, there is a fire exit leading off your room, and yes, if the fire alarm is activated, your door will open automatically to allow all the residents on your landing to escape through your room, whether I am in the room or not, YES! Do you not think this unusual, and unnacceptable - NO! we've just had £45k of fire improvements done and no-one has mentioned it before! 2nd room offered, had not been prepared before being offered to me - no discount offered, even charged the extra £2 for Salmon at breakfast. Stay there again or recommend it to anyone - NO!

Bar staff friendly, comfortable bed and decent tv. Good choice for breakfast - speedy service even though they got orders wrong sometimes. Although it offered free internet, this didn't work and reception staff just shrugged it off. The bedding was not changed during our stay and the bed was just re-made (badly!). The tea and coffee was not refreshed on one occasion. It was difficult to operate the stiff bath and shower taps as shower-screen was in the way. Dirty bathroom. Very thin walls - could hear people talking and showering etc next door.

Only the location. We did not have hot water in our shower and the hotel would not make adjustments for the inconvenience.

This is our 3rd stay at the Queens hotel, it offers good value accommodation in good location. Clean and comfortable, good breakfast. Lift to upper floors. Decent bar, with bar meals available. Friendly staff. Poor access to shower. No towel rails or hanging rails in bath/shower room.
