Queens Hotel

Excellent location.

There was no hot water in the evening. Decor looking tired. Hot Breakfast choices very limited for vegetarian.

Superb town centre location. Easy walking access to shops, pubs, cinema and Theatre by the Lake. Only a few minutes drive from the North Western Fells. Excellent service.

The first room provided had a smell of cigarette smoke, but the staff were incredibly helpful in providing an excellent alternative. Very happy with the hotel and its facilities. There was some external noise from youths footballing around the Moot Hall until around 11pm, two evenings running.

Loved the room. It had a great view of the mountains complete with glistening snow. Clean, comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Service was very quick for great breakfasts. Only stayed 2 nights but were pleasantly surprised when our room was refreshed in between.

Lovely character rooms excellent food.

We were unable to shower in the morning because the water was barely luke warm also the window ,although beautiful,had no nets so I felt as if I was in a goldfish bowl as people could see straight into the room.This meant curtains closed in the daylight to change etc.

I stay a few nights in this hotel in later November. The staff are kind. Location is great and good value for money.

The facilities are poor - almost everything. Single room is rather small. You can smell smoking in the corridor. Shower takes ages to use. The most annoying is that for some reason which I can not think of, the central heating is turned off at 12:00pm and turned on at 6:00am. I know it does not make sense but this is what I experienced. Althought I didn't feel much cold at night but this is really bad bad. It does not make sense to let the heating on in the day when everybody is out and turn it off at night when everyone is sleeping.

We really liked the centre of town location and the view from the window and residents lounge, which was cozy and comfortable

Unfortunately there was condensation in between the secondary glazing which impaired the view from our room a little.

Central location. Quality of furniture in this room compared to room stayed in previously at rear of hotel.

The hotel itself was falling apart upstairs and the shower fell off wall and the bath would not drain. Rooms could do with refurbishment for the prices charged

Nice clean comfortable hotel. Generous tea/coffee making facilities, lovely views and leisurely meal times.

I would have liked it more if I could have taken my dog

Very difficult to eat a meal in the bar as chairs far too low for the tables !
