Score from 197 reviews Very good
It felt like I was staying in a hostel I didn't feel safe in my room travelling as a young woman it is over priced and u don't even get breakfast within that price
Clean towels and bedding.
Shower not clean, a bit tight on the tea and coffee in the room 1 tea bag and 1 coffee. TV didn't work
Bedding was clean and I got a decent sleep. Shower worked better than most better guest houses.
General delapidation and off smell. Stained carpets in room. Cracked toilet seat (shortage of loo roll) in shared bathroom facility, unsafe electrical sockets. No alternative fire escape other than the way in.
The SUPER FRIENDLY STAFF at Kingsway hotel
No night lamp :-((
The location was quite good.
No Wi-Fi in rooms. Had to go to Hotel across the road to get any service. No hairdryer in room. Minimal tea/coffee/sugar and on requesting more was told it would be chargeable! All parking spaces were taken so had to find a space elsewhere.
smelly no internet no ensuite facilities television did not work lighting in room poor
not enough parking for the number of hotels owned..We had to parkin the street some way from your hotel .WE were informed when we found that we were unable to park THAT parking was on a first come first served basis..Had we been told this when we were booking this room then we would have looked elsewhere. Sorry I cannot recommend your guest house.
It was very clean and nice to be independent of the main hotel. staff friendly good value for money
no parking no ensuite someone left both front doors open so had to shut them.
Value for money and good location
Location and room quality relative to the price.
Lack of on site parking - although alternative was OK.
basic and clean, you get what you pay for.
parking a lottery
Location was ok
Dirty room walls rusty where sprinkler gone off at some point carpet not nice blinds let in light work men peering thro to hot no fan very noisy
Room was a good size, bed linen and towels were clean. Comfortable bed. Ironing board and iron was useful.
Entrance to the property is unappealing with unopened mail in the porch area and unpleasant smell when you entered the property. As there are no staff in attendance it feels more like student accomodation rather than part of a hotel. The tv didn't work. My room was overlooked by builders next door who could see directly into my room so curtains had to be closed at all times despite high temperatures. Overall feeling of entrance and hallways was that it wasn't very clean and had not had attention for a long time.
I was a solo traveller but I was given a double-bedded room which was huge. There was a bay window and from the left side you had a sea-view. There was a shower and toilet with a wash-basin for my own use. It was allocated on the first floor and the windows were wide open which was brilliant for me. It was very quiet and it was really only the sea-gulls that made a lot of noise. A stone's throw to the beach and a nice walk along the promenade to the pier and the town centre is also withing walking distance.
I didn't have breakfast because I thought it was expensive at £10.00, but I'm sure it was very good.
poor condition of the building (internal) . Needs up dating and its smelly .
NO HOT WATER....BAD AND INOPERABLE SHOWER
Lovely staff, cheap and convenient.
Bed was needing a repair on the leg. TV in the room needs to be updated to something from the last 20 years.
It was about 2 mins from beach
The building wasn't supervised by any staff i had to knock on 2 doors to get my key and sign in, the carpets in the entrance and stairway were dirty and the rm wasn't brilliant, no batteries in t.v control, had to place kettle on the floor to boil it as it wasn't nr a socket there wasn't a headboard on the bed and the mattress wasn't comfy i could feel springs in my side and very cheap, flat pillows, the carpet in the rm was dirty, the blind was broken and 1 of the windows wouldn't close properly so had to be left unlocked.
Cheap, nice sized room, almost exactly what i needed.
Not En Suite, only thing wrong really
The room was spacious, the bed was incredibly comfortable and I appreciated that I could just about see the seafront from my room. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful to me, I feel they really deserve gratitude and praise.
Minor issue in that there was no mirror in my room. I felt that this made getting ready awkward as the bathroom is shared and as someone preparing for an interview I would've liked to get ready without thinking I had to get out before someone else needed the bathroom!
great breakfast , and a sea view too
Good Location, right by the coast, and close to town centre. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Would stay at again.
Room was big enough for a double bed, a 'double for single occupancy' would've been nice. No Wi-Fi, other than in main/sister hotel reception.
DIRTY TOILET FILTHY SHOWER AND STINKING BEDSHEETS
Although very basic it was a fair price for what it was. We were only going to be there to sleep. Bed comfy .
The hallway and stairs were very grubby as was the tv in my room which was covered with make up dust. The decorator had left blobs of paint on flooring and furniture. Pillows not comfortable.
