Breakfast was superb. All ingredients sourced locally, top quality. Evening meal was beautiful. Staff do kind. Overall a lovely weekend.
We were on the third floor, we were aware of the people upstairs moving around. Try and book room on fourth floor.
Staff very friendly and efficient, room was spacious and had a lovely view, breakfast was excellent.
The weather let us down.
Breakfast was great
Hotel looks great from the photo and that part of the hotel is for suites. However my room was in an annexe/attached building away from the actual hotel so a tad misleading
Nice & clean, friendly staff, good location, comfy bed. All in all I couldnt really fault it.
Breakfast could have been a little warmer, also a hot plate would have helped.
Pleasant, efficient staff. Food and dining service excellent. Rooms comfortable. Would definitely return. Thoroughly enjoyed the spa bath after a busy day.
Room a bit hot through the night despite turning heater off. Corridor leading to 2nd floor quite cold! Some biscuits and a 2nd sachet of hot chocolate would have been good on the drinks tray in rooms.
The location. The extremely friendly and helpful staff. The cuisine of all types. The general comfort of the place.
The shortage of drawer/shelf accommodation in the room for clothing
Lovely, clean & comfortable hotel. Excellent choice of cold & hot buffet breakfast. Food was fantastic. Evening meal very good value for money. Large rooms with seating area & jacuzzi bath & huge comfortable bed. Free car parking & wifi. We were in room 5, which overlooked the bay. Fabulous staff, who were friendly & did an excellent job. Would recommend & definitely go back.
A wee bit out the town, but still within walking distance. Our weather was awful, so we didn't venture out as much as we would have done if the weather had been better. Obviously no fault of the hotel though! But something to keep in mind if you have mobility problems.
Breakfast was reasonable, staff were attentive.
Standard rooms have walls that are paper thin, could hear every movement and word from the room above.
Position of the room.
Warm clean friendly staff
Loved the jacuzzi bath, the lovely warm room and the super breakfast!
Clean, comfortable and quiet.
Views from our room were stunning across the bay. Staff were friendly and helpfull . Hotel was spotlessly clean and food was excellent. Hotel close enough to the town centre but far enough away to be peaceful . Most enjoyable stay.
Couldn't fault it.
The hotel has good but limited onsite parking & a really nice bar & lounge area. They served an excellent breakfast in the dining room.
The wifi connection in our room was erratic.
Good location friendly staff
The room had a damp smell
On arrival we were extensively late due to traffic hold ups - but were greeted with a smile and warm welcome.
nothing to dislike
Our meal on the first night was amazing! Staff were friendly and the service was great too. The seafood was delicious and the cheese platter was much more than expected and it was scrumptious too. Finished the meal off perfectly.
The double bed was a zip & link which made it a little uncomfortable.
The quality service from the staff was by far the best I've had in a hotel. Arrived late, kitchen closed. I was starving after travelling hours, so they whipped me up some scran quickly and I went to bed, fed and watered.
We stayed for one night in room 3, it was very comfortable and the spa bath was just great after getting soaked and freezing after a walk into town! We had dinner in the hotel bar and the food was lovely, as was the breakfast, everything you'd want on offer! Would definitely return for an overnight stay!
The only thing I can think of is the lounge area could be more relaxing!
Staff in particular were excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed my evening meal and a superb breakfast - nothing was too much trouble
We chose an 'upgrade room with a view' - and the views are fabulous. The room was comfortable, the Jacuzzi bath was fun, and the extra large bed very comfortable. Queen's Hotel is a quiet hotel, with excellent, friendly and helpful staff. Choice for breakfast was extensive.
I did not particularly like the 'buffet' style breakfast at the weekend - after standing a while the bacon was rather tough as was the white of the egg. Far better was the 'cook to order' at mid week - eggs, bacon etc. then cooked precisely how I like it - hot/soft/succulent!
Laid back but efficient service
Same food menu in restaurant as in the bar.
Good service from all members of staff . Quality food served in bar and restaurant . Nothing was too much trouble . Would return again .
