The view from our room. The room & toilet were very small & not much cupboard space. Staff were polite but I think more staff training at reception on arrival & in the restaurant, for example 3 mornings out of 4 the staff forgot our toast. Out-side the hotel looks good apart from all the weeds at the front which really spoils it.

Friendly and clean hotel in a nice location with spectacular views over the bay. At £150 a night, it was very expensive for what it was. Facilities very basic, bar only open from 5pm to 11pm, a lot of very petty rules, presumably from the owner, such as the banning of bringing food or drink into your room with the threat of large fines if you're caught!.

Restaurant dinner quality Bar supper quality: Payment for first night on checking in prior to viewing room: Staff didn't seem able to cope with peak mealtime demands: long corridor and stairs to rear block room (due to site layout):

The food, the staff - waiters / waitresses were very welcoming, it was quiet and relaxing, nice location The floors were very creaky - we were on the the 3rd floor and the floor above was so creaky we were woken up when the occupants started to move around.

The view from the room was good, the room was a good size, food was good, The staff were very nice. We enjoyed our stay but small things were annoying, they advertise wifi which in this day in age for some people is very important and the choice of the hotel having wifi made us choose the queens hotel. I could only connect to other wifi around the hotel but never to the queens hotel wifi it said the signal was too far away and kept dropping even when I took my laptop next to the wifi router. Couldnt sit the kettle anywhere but the floor as the cable was too short, hair dryer didnt reach a mirror, window in the room would not open, possition of the tv made it impossible to watch unless you stood up.

The views out of our room window. For the price of £190 I thought it was very over priced for one night b+b as I can get 5* for that price.

I have stayed in a few hotels in Oban and this is probably the best...... It's not the cheapest, but it has a good location, and what price the inclusion of a large jacuzzi? The free WiFi was also appreciated.

Location and view. About 10 min walk from the harbour. Excellent restaurants in Oban and the gateway to the islands. Free WiFi is available in all rooms and it is super fast. One has to carry your luggage without help offered for at least one storey. One receptionist was quite unfriendly and unsupportive. They quote per person and not per room.

Room cleaning was of an extremely high standard. Breakfasts were always very good and sometimes excellent, depending on the chef. Bar food was good but somewhat variable depending on the chef. Reception staff were friendly and were very helpful when we had problems with managing our window which opened perfectly satisfactorily when we understood it. The fan in the en suite bathroom was weak and also erratic: sometimes it did not go on and at other times it stayed on for a very long time after the light had been switched off. One of the 2 electic outlets between the beds did not work: this was reported to reception but nothing happened.

The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, in spite of the hotel being full due to adverse weather conditions and the ferries not sailing. Food good and room comfortable and very clean. We will be back and will recommend this hotel to anyone travelling near or to Oban.

Staff were very friendly I have to say that having 4 stars I expected a lot more, to be able to see your own breath in a corridor going to your room due to the cold then finding that the heating was not actually on in your room was very disappointing and cold especially in middle of December

the staff where very helpful the breakfast was ok NOW the room and bathroom were freezing on arrival the bathroom window was rattling {i put cardboard in it to stop the noise but it was to cold to refresh in anyway for the first two days} the bedroom carpets are stained, the ottoman and curtains need replacing. For £120.00 per night i don't think you could say it was a good deal and does nothing for our confidence in using you again
