A party of 8, we stayed for one night, all very impressed with rooms and breakfast. Staff pleasant and helpfull. The hotel is well placed for sightseeing and activities in Dundee. Sensation Science within 150 metres of hotel excellent for families and adults. Views from bedroom over the Tay excellent! Over all great value for money. On a down side our train was 4 o'clock afternoon, it was 5 mins past 2 when we got to the hotel to pick up our cases and hopefully have a bite to eat we were told the kitchen closed at 2pm. Dissapointed no one was available to make sandwiches. The outside could do with a face lift it looks very tired.

It's a traditional hotel in the city centre It's famous as it was used by Winston Churchill when he was mp for Dundee The whole hotel is 'tired' While the cooked breakfast itself was good and cooked to order the rest of the experience at breakfast was very much grotty B&B.

Close to city centre. Very comfortable. Plush, traditional decor. Off street car parking useful The breakfast service was poor - staff not particularly helpful - had people waiting to be served.

We liked the breakfast, which we thought was very good, especially the choice of fresh fruit, menu and service. Rooms were comfortable but noisy. Reception was unwelcoming. A smile would have been a good thing.
