Well placed, food good Room good size all things worked in room, quiet , location on Hight Street. Parking at rear.
Staff very helpful and friendly - food nice and reasonable
Hotel in a terrible state of repair - shower fell off the wall onto my head! Window frames rotten and stale smoke smell throughout the hotel.
The food was really good!
We really enjoyed our stay, The dinner was excellent, great choices for vegetarians. The breakfast was really good too. We loved our room it was really spacious, the shower was a bit old fashioned, but it's being renovated. The staff made us feel really welcome.
Good value for money in bar and restaurant. Chicken liver pate was excellent! Comfortable beds.
Shower difficult to use. could not get a good flow of hot water. Either too cold or too hot.
Friendly & helpful staff, lovely spacious room, well decorated in a nice style, comfy bed and very large bathroom with corner bath! Bar in hotel a little disappointing but the Bluebell Inn over the road highly recommended for ale! Easy to use hotel, with ample parking. Good nights sleep. Perfect for a stop over or a weekend break. Nice town.
The jets in the Jacuzzi bath didn't work. Hotel looks very tired in many places, but appears it is a work in progress.
Missed the mark completely, room was in disrepair, electric cord dangling from the ceiling, the bed had no support and was very small for a double, wallpaper hanging off one ceiling corner, and the smell of stale tobacco and beer, yuk. Is that why they offered a half price deal? Sorry, wasn't even worth that!
The food was very good and the staff were excellent.
As it is quite an old hotel it could do with some updating, the shower curtain in the room smelt of damp.
Location Staff were superb Food was also superb Relaxed atmosphere Locals
Hard mattress Bar tables need to be varnished I would give the Quensberry 8/10 but 10/10 for its staff/meals and location.
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good
The place was dirty nt hoovered all upstairs top landing carpets filthy taped up , no hot water for a shower would nt go back here
We arrived quite early and were only waiting for a short while to get into our room. The owners are doing a lot of work on upgrading the hotel, lots of new carpets. Breakfast excellent, partner had the full works I asked and got a banana and toast which is just what I wanted, well done the staff. We came and stayed a second night a few days later and got a different room.
All the stairs to the top front room. Only one bedside light beside the double bed. Second visit the mattress was not quite so good, we still slept though.
Cost, rooms, breakfast, bar, staff, location. Hotel is going thru a refurb so u expect a little disruption, but it wasn't intrusive. Off street parking for motorcycles, choice of restaurants nearby too if u don't want to eat in the hotel
friendly staff good food and drinks clean and tidy. All four of us enjoyed the stay thank you
bath needed new sealant around the top very discoloured shame we got there before all the new carpets got put down ,Ha'Ha
Great hotel in the centre with parking. Nice big rooms. Nice breakfast. Lovely that the rooms are dog friendly.
No where to eat with your dog. The bar was not dog friendly during meal times/ till 9pm. we would of loved a drink and meal but didn't want to sit in the corridor to eat it (which was the staff suggestion). When you have a restaurant you would expect some part of the bar to be dog friendly. We go away regularly with the dogs and have never had this problem before.
It is a lovely, quaint inn looking much the same on the outside as it did when built in the 18th century. It is also clean, quiet and comfortable with a great breakfast. Staff and family members were very friendly and helpful. The town of Annan and The Queensberry Arms Hotel are definitely worth a stopover while in Scotland.
No complaints at all.
Staff were nice
Payment taken without our permission beforehand. The restaurant we sat in it until the kids started screaming and running around and banging into people. What control was there? None. Tables filthy. We came out and ate elsewhere. Breakfast pathetic both in standard of food and service. Don't they teach these people? No help with luggage (angina) Put on top floor? with a dog? and old? never mind the health.
Bed was very hard Noisy Not too clean
The location. The evening meal and breakfast Warm and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and helpful
I did feel that the staff serving at table were hard pressed to cover the reception desk at the same time.
Room was ideal, breakfast was very good.
Prices at the bar, especially what you pay for a dash of blackcurrent.
Within easy drive of Gretna Green, warm welcome.
Rear car park not easily found.
Paid £37.50 and could find no issues at all. Even had someone playing a cello in the next room and all included in price. :-)
The rooms were comfortable and basic
We were greeted by a member of staff with food around her mouth, the bath was cracked and the water out of the hot water tap was warm so our children couldn't haemorrhage a cordial drink, the wall paper and boarder was either ripped or dirty. The carpets up the stairs and in our room wear dirty, we had a 1 year old with us and had to keep her off the floor. On the morning of departure I sat on the double bed to change my little girl and the duvet cover had blood stains on it we didn't notice this until we had, had breakfast so no staff we around so we just left. The pictures on leaflets are nothing like room we were in.
