Very welcoming and pleasant receptionist. Excellent buffet breakfast. Plenty of complimentary tea/coffee in the room. Good firm bed. Dining room is in the basement with no natural light. No sea views from dining room.

Right by the sea, with the waves crashing up at high tide, Excellent breakfast. Friendly greeting. Comfortable room with everything.necessary. Shower easy to operate and adjust. Not something you find everywhere! Didnt expect to be asked all this. Could have done with the little lift to carry my heavier-than-necessary case up three flights of stairs (3? it felt like more with all the fire doors to push). A bit more exercise, then, as I'd decided to walk from the railway station. Not a problem. Is the room price aimed at well-off English parents visiting their student sons and daughters? This is not a complaint. My Mum and Dad used to visit me in Oxford, I visited my son twice in Nottingham, now i'm back "home" looking after my old Mum. Times change. I had a very nice break at the seaside in wales and would like to be there again soon.

Wonderful location on the seafront with great sea views. Good breakfast. The window in my room didn't close. On an October night with a westerly gale blowing in through the open window it was absolutely freezing. I had to get up several times during the night to sweep up hailstones from the window sill and throw them back out!

Location on the bay and ease of parkin Furnishing was adequate but bleak. One window was damaged. The shaver/mirror light in bathroom did not work. The lift was out of order (room was on third floor). No staff available on arrival at 8.00-9.00 P.M. Too few tea bags & sugar in room and no staff to replenish. Charge of 65 pounds for Friday would have been about right if lift and window repaired. 95 pounds for Saturday was extortionate for a very small room. Current brochure quotes 50-85 pounds per night. Might be O.K. for larger bay windowed rooms on first floor but not for what we were offered. Why was I charged over the brochure price?

Hotel on seafront, only 10 min walk from centre of town.Excellent breakfast. We asked for a sea view room which we were allocated, but the opening part of the window didn't fit properly. As we were staying when it was very windy we had to put towels round the window to keep the wind out. Whole hotel is looking very "tired" inside and out

It was right by the sea and cliff railway The room had just been painted and smelt of gloss paint, most unpleasant as the windows were painted shut. The student party next door kept us up with loud music. Fellow guests at the hotel were rude, noisy, slamming doors and swearing at 4am including trying our door. In the morning there were bloody tissues, broken glass and empty cans on the stairs. I was staying with my 11 year old he was really scared.

The location was great. We went out of season and before the university students returned, but the experience was memorable. The Queensbridge is only 5-10 minutes, at a stroll, from the centre of Aberystwyth. There was enough shops, pubs and eateries to make a full day of the town centre. There was a big storm when we attended and having a full sea view from room one with nature doing its worst was magnificent. The help yourself breakfast was ample. The only drawbacks were that the bathroom was cramped especially between the toilet and the bath and there was hairs in the bath.

Chose The Queensbridge as we needed an overnight stop, with our dog, in order to collect our daughter from university for Christmas. Lovely room with first class sea view (dog loved this!) Also we were able to bring our daughter to have breakfast with us before setting off on our journey home. Breakfast was also first class!

Relatively cheap hotel in nice Victorian building on the promenade with good location (8 min from Aber train station), with lavish English breakfast, cereals and 100% juices (served by the man) Room is comfortable, cosy bed, telly, coffee and tea in room. My room - opposite to the coast, facing the hills - was warm, and I could increase heating manually. The owners' Welsh accent was ununderstandable sometimes, the "front desk" lady was strange, sometimes even rude: she told me she realized I have a "limited english", her husband was quite kind however. I asked for a room with wifi on booking.com, but in room 11 (3rd floor) there was no signal, and the staff wouldn't care - so if you surely need to have internet connection, it is not the best choise (there was net in the bar sometimes). The hotel interior is not new, this is okey, but there were some bulbs out, and it could have been cleaner however, toilet in the room for example...

We booked the hotel as a stop over driving through Wales. As we were late arrival, we got a call from the hotel to ask what time we were arriving. The guy we spoke to was polite and helpful and was there when we arrived to give us our key. Even though I booked on line I called the hotel to request a sea view room which we were given. Our room was large, very clean and had a sea view. Whilst the hotel is in need of some updates and repairs, it is clean and our bed was very comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was buffet with cereal, full english, toast and was very adequate and again served by very nice helpful staff.
