Friendly staff, clean,, and comfortable bed, best thing about the room for me was the lovely soft towels welldone excellent. The food was very good value for money we were in the area for a funeral so no time to check out the surrounding area however if we were in bedford again would certainly stay here. The bar was a little to quiet as its a small area found it difficult to talk as felt everyone could hear

The hotel was fine apart from being very worn out and in desperate need of refubishing. The hotel is very worn out and in desperate need of refurbishing. We were very disappointed the there is no food served after 7.30 on Sunday. The bathroom was not clean, there was black mildew on the tiles and shower hose, pink mildue on the shower head, the foor around the bath looked like it had never been cleaned, and the wc pan was cracked. I can understand that due to economic reasons the hotel is shabby but there is no excuse for being dirty.

Very friendly hotel. Staff obviously enjoyed their work. Also some very interesting history to this hotel and plenty of free vouchers available to read about it. Also a book on Milton Earnest in the hotel room was, I thought, a nice touch. So much better than the the bland service received in those multinational chain hotels.

Excellent value for money, lovely accomodating staff and the room was excellent value for money...with a bath, not just a shower, which is always good. Breakfast was very good. We were visiting friends who were having a party in the next village so knew very little about the area. Had a great walk across the fields in the morning to retrieve the car, lovely countryside. Would highly recommend this pub/hotel All good.

Staff prompt, friendly and effective. Room clean. Bed comfortable. Excellent value. Bathroom and fittings had slightly 'outdated' feel. Shower head damaged (but not beyond use). None of these significant considering the price.

Located conveniently to Beford Autodrome for trackdays & events. Fine old English pub in village. Very quiet and peacefuk overnight. Staff very helpful and friendly. Restaurant on site good food but very heavily booked up. Price reasonable. Plenty of parking on site, but could do with a garge for motorbikes. Breakfast only starts at 8.30am. It would be more helpful if it was 7.00am or earlier.

It was in the right location for our short break. We were doing a local Flowrider experiance. It was also close enough to a large shopping centre to fill in time before experiance. The food was nice and the staff work friendly.

We found the hotel one of the friendliest hotels that we have stayed at for a very long time. Both Bev and Jamie were helpful nothing appeared to be to much trouble for them. We shall be returning next year.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good food reasonably priced.Value for money at £60.00 per night for a double room. Would not have wanted to have paid anymore. Bathroom was on the small side. Reading other reviews there are other complaints about the leaking shower head. Maybe you should be investing in a new head.
