My wife and I decided to stay over in Brighton after watching a show at the Brighton Centre so we only spent one night in the Hotel. On arrival we decided to upgrade to a room with sea views and were very pleased that we did as the views were stunning. We were given a room on the second floor and were told that this would be a quiet room and so it was. I get the impression that rooms at level one can be a bit noisy. There is no car parking but we used nearby Lanes car park at a cost of £23 for a 24 hour stay. The Brighton Centre is only a short walk away. The room itself was spacious and clean if a tad well used. The bathroom was an odd shape but I guess that this was due to the hotel being in a period building with some odd shapes to the rooms. The hotel bar was good value and look out for the happy hour cocktails - two for the price of one - so two cocktails for £6 was great value. Other bar prices pretty good too. Breakfast was adequate with a hot buffet or cereals and toast etc. We did not eat in the restaurant as there were several nearby alternatives. Service was good and the staff friendly so all in all a good experience and I would certainly use the hotel again. The hotel is showing signs of wear and tear but mainly ok

The location was great. This hotel is overdue for refurbishment. It is old and tatty and grubby. I paid a shade under £200 for a sea view room for a romantic break and was thoroughly disappointed. The bathroom tiles were cracked and everything was worn, broken and grubby. The staff throughout didn't apear to care about much. The gym facilites were poor. Again very grubby, the attendant had left the floors awash with water which you had to walk through both barefoot to get to the pool and in shoes. I would avoid this hotel unless you get a good price and expect a cheapo hotel. It is not a £200 per night luxury establishment!

We have stayed at the Queen's Hotel and Spa before and on that visit alone would always try to stay there first above any other hotel. The staff were friendly and so efficient and dealt with any queries in a super fast manner. The breakfast was more than substantial and the bar was a lovely place to go for a night cap of an evening. I cannot recommend Queen's Hotel more. If you would like a relaxed stay with efficient and friendly staff, than this is the place to go.

The hotel furniture was very poor. Had sea view family room and the lounge room furniture would have been on my bonfire. The veneer on tables etc was bobbled and lifting. Bathroom could do with an update. The bar area had the top brown layer of leather coming off all the settes so all you could see was a mix of dark brown and tan colour. This was very bad especially as it was a Communial area Sea front location. I paid £79 per night but would have been annoyed if I had to pay the full price.

I thought that Frances the Irish lady who worked at reception was fabulous and helped me plan a great surprise for my Fiancee Tom who's birthday it was. We were put in a nicer room with a fantastic view as well which was brilliant!

Two things make this hotel stand out from others in the same price range. the location, which is right on top of the lanes area, and it is right on the sea front opposite the pier. The second thing that makes staying here so pleasant is the staff, who are all friendly and helpful. This was our third stay this year and we will keep on coming back. The only negative is the noise at night, and if i was being picky i would like to see the dinner menu changed. After three visits this year some fresh choices would be nice. We also noticed a large number of people being turned away when asking about lunch. There would appear to be nothing available from 11a.m. when breakfast finishes until 2p.m. when you can order a cream tea. A large source of additional income i would have thought.

The staff are very friendly and the pool is good size the noise transmission from upstairs was a major problem. The people staying in the room directly above us kept us awake nearly all night - it was horrific and ruined our trip to BRighton - we had to keep ringing reception to complain - they were thumping on the ceiling of our room so hard at 5am that the chandeliers were shaking and they were screaming out and running back and forth and sounded like they were trashing their room throwing things about etc. The reception staff said they were ringing them and asking them to stop but we didn't hear any evidence of this through the roof (and we could hear a lot - too much in fact).

Comfortable and easy central location to pop back when needed. Pleasant safe late night hotel bar, Relaxed attentative staff, preferred to stayin bar Than out in the pubs. Breakfast overlooking seafront, food and staff was great. Pool was nice temperature. Sauna and steam great. Staff always accommodating. Room key/card were cancelled after a day but was rectified immediately. Definitely return to stay. Room key/card were cancelled during trip but was rectified immediately. No offers given for a return visit on checkout, or asked about my stay as I have had in other hotels.

The public areas were well decorated and comfortable. The location was superb and within easy reach of everything one would want to do in Brighton. The bathroom in our bedroom was very small and could have been better. The breakfast was very poor, not something I would expect from the price paid for the hotel. I would expect more variety of cooked breakfast.

The fish tank in reception was nice. Seriously, this is the only real good thing I can say about the Queens. The noise, the bed was too small, filthy windows, black grime under the shower screen, the fact that no body asked me if everything was ok with my stay (perhaps they knew!)
