My wife and I decided to stay over in Brighton after watching a show at the Brighton Centre so we only spent one night in the Hotel. On arrival we decided to upgrade to a room with sea views and were very pleased that we did as the views were stunning. We were given a room on the second floor and were told that this would be a quiet room and so it was. I get the impression that rooms at level one can be a bit noisy. There is no car parking but we used nearby Lanes car park at a cost of £23 for a 24 hour stay. The Brighton Centre is only a short walk away. The room itself was spacious and clean if a tad well used. The bathroom was an odd shape but I guess that this was due to the hotel being in a period building with some odd shapes to the rooms. The hotel bar was good value and look out for the happy hour cocktails - two for the price of one - so two cocktails for £6 was great value. Other bar prices pretty good too. Breakfast was adequate with a hot buffet or cereals and toast etc. We did not eat in the restaurant as there were several nearby alternatives. Service was good and the staff friendly so all in all a good experience and I would certainly use the hotel again. The hotel is showing signs of wear and tear but mainly ok

Close to Coach Station + JB`s American Diner. Spacious reception area, staff friendly + polite, room comfortable+clean. Only stayed 1 night as had travelled down from Hertfordshire for dental appointment but will have to return for further appointments + will definitely stay at Queens again. Only `complaint` was the coffee at breakfast (tasted bitter + a bit stewed). Also no skimmed or soya milk available. Sorry, know it`s being picky but after travelling for 5hrs on a coach I was looking forward to a decent hot drink.

Excellent food and service, great friendly fell to the hotel. It's a great pity that car parking is non existent, If they could come to some kind of arrangement with one of Brighton's car parks that would be perfect!

The location was good as it is close to all attractions and amenities. My daughter and I were upgraded to a sea view room with a king size and single bed at no extra cost. The outside of the hotel could do with a lick of paint. The internet connection was very slow.

Fantastic sea view room - well decorated and a marvellous superking bed in a huge room. Very agreeable breakfast. Working (free) wifi at an acceptable speed. Outside could do with painting - drab exterior gives a good hotel a very poor first impression

As a solo traveller I was well looked after and was never made to feel akward. All the staff were brilliant. I was on a reunion trip and my guests were made very welcome. Even though they were not staying at the hotel. I loved the variety of foods on offer at breakfast. I had a room with a view of the sea.Which was lovely to wake up and see. I was safe, warm and cosy. And would recomend to any single ladies.

Everything was 1st class... As we arrived we were immediately given an upgrade. The room was very good. We used the pool, sauna and bar in the evening and were suprised that the bar prices were very reasonable. Wish we'd had our evening meal there as well as the menu looked good. Breakfast was very good. Absolutely no complaints at all. Thanks for a very enjoyable evenings stay. John Car parking was a bit of a nightmare ... mainly as we didn't do any research beforehand into car park locations, 24hr stays etc.

Excellent Location. The hotel needs renovation in many areas. For the money perhaps that is much to expect, but some items (sofa in dining area) are in a state dismal would only begin to describe.

Staff were friendly and efficient The hotel is in an excellent location on the sea front and near to the lanes No parking facilities. Room was very small for the cost - not even enough room to have a bedside table each side of the bed. There are no arrangements for smokers for visitors - yet there are for staff! At the buffet style breakfast the hot food is put out in such large quantities that it can be 'tired' by the time you go to get it - and the toasters take forever.

I have stayed at the Queens hotel on two occasions this year and have been very happy with my choice. The rooms I stayed in were well appointed and excellent value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. Obviously there was occasionally some noise from partygoers leaving clubs but the sea view more than made up for it.

I had arranged an early check-in as my daughter did the London to Brighton 100 km Challenge on foot. We arrived at the hotel about 11 o'clock and whilst we were still early for check-in I think the receptionist took pity on my daughter and found her a room which was fantastic.

Great location for beach, shopping in the Lanes and very close to the Royal Pavilion. Fantastic breakfast which set you up for the day. main problem was lack of parking and unloading facilities. Drop off area at front of hotel was full of parked vehicles, even on footpath, and of course the ever present parking inspectors, who we saw doing a lucrative trade there during our stay. Parking options were either 25 pounds per day relatively close or 12.50 pounds per day at a car park a good 15 mins walk away. When it was time to leave, drop off area was parked in with waiting parking inspector. It took 3/4 hour from checkout to my husband being able to pick me up, and that only because the inspector took pity on me and allowed him to illegally stop in a loading zone. I suggested to management that they keep the drop off area as that only. Other complaints were that the beds were very firm and every night until about 3am the drunks made a lot of noise going home. Would only recommend if no car.

The location was perfect. Our rooms were good. The breakfast was amazing. The 2 4 1 cocktails at the bar were very nice! Very friendly and efficient staff. The gentlemans club outside our window was a bit noisy.

The building has a lot of character, but does not have the usual problems of old buildings. It was very warm and clean. The view of the sea and Pier are fantastic. We stayed for our 20th Wedding Anniversary and also visited the Regency Palace and Grosvernor Casino.
