The room was a really good size, and good value for money. Hotel location was right on the sea front.

Unfortunately the hotel is right next to an incredibly noisy nightclub and doesn't have double glazing which means that if you are on the wrong side of the building you won't be sleeping before about 3am. The hotel must be aware of this as when we called reception to see if there was any other room we could stay in they said no as it was fully booked and brought up two sets of earplugs!

Unfortunately the hotel is situated in the area used by young people for all night drinking etc. Some rooms are therefore very noisy. No sleep until 3.30 am. Hotel sympathetic and changed our room. Better but still not ideal.

The hotel was in the heart of Brighton, close to everything, it was comfortable, relaxing and peaceful.

Service

We had a lovely sea-facing first-floor room which was quiet and very comfortable -excellent value. The hotel is in a very good location on the sea front but near to shops and restaurants so is very convenient. Would definitely stay again.

Through no fault of the hotel it is just far too noisy outside, people shouting all night. Breakfast room too small

The location was fantastic for everything to do in Brighton. The staff were very freindly

Very central to the shopping areas and also lovely views from the sea facing rooms. Very clean and staff very efficient and helpful. Breakfast had a good buffet choice and the cooked food was well presented, hot and expertly cooked.

The free WiFi was not available in the 3rd floor bedroom we stayed in - signal very weak. Worked in the lounges and bar. However this was pointed out by the staff and we could have a loan of a ethernet cable if desired (£5 deposit).

the views from the room were excellant and the staff at the bar went that little extra specially clair and martin !! the afternoon cream teas a good price breakfast was ample and every one greated us with a friedly proffesional aproach.

a small number of things to address cosmetically and this will be a extremly great indiviually owned hotel with the charm and grace of eras gone buy and reliving the past with a modern feel .

Te hotel was in a great location, our room was warm and very clean.There were two negative points about our stay, 1. the room had been newly decorated but the carpet was shabby.2. the shower had no pressure. The breakfast was excellent and the staff helpful. I would stay here again.

My husband is disabled and we were very pleased when we found that outside the hotel disabled badge holders could park all day for free which made our stay even more enjoyable as it meant that there were no long walks to get to and from the car during the stay. I feel that this is an important point to make about the hotel as it is a feature that maybe over looked which could make all the difference to disabled guests.

the location was excellent although a sea view would have been better as we overlooked an alley.

Where do I start.....I was asked to pay upon arrival and then my husband paid again and they didn't notice! I had to go down at midnight to sort it out as were leaving at 06:30. Ended up getting cash refund as couldn't refund my credit card. The staff were very friendly but terribly slow...literally to the point that after ordering 4 drinks, two arrived and were finished before the other two came! The snack I ordered should have had selection of meats, fresh bread of the day, sun blush tomotoes, artichokes, olives and salad. It arrived as a few pieces of salam, parma ham & crackers with a bit of lettuce. I complained and the brought out some french bread and sundried tomatoes (jar not deli!) and olives only. I did not have to pay!
