A place where you can relax and unwind from a busy day.
A dinning room may be added and breakfast be served in it.
Location overlooking park, but good connections to city centre. Near relatives for visiting. Asked for single en-suite, but was upgraded to double at no extra cost.
Unable to turn off radiator in room.
Close to queen's park, close to station and only 2 stops to central. Huge room!
Tea and coffee were a bit cheap but that's very minor.
The staff was cheerful, the location good Coffee and tea in room was nice and so was the bagged breakfast
carpet was quite dirty no elevator
Very clean, staff very helpful and friendly, modern bathroom, spacious room size.
Beds were comfy Quiet Ease to get to city Safe parking Queens park The staff
some mould/damp in the bathroom small bathroom, but perfectly adequate
Staff, value for money and breakfast bag in the morning.
Value for money help full staff.
Was perfect for what we needed,
The area was lovely, near the park. Staff is cool.
There should be 4 beds instead of 6, seriously. The washroom was very small. Not comfortable for the price.
Reception staffed 24 hours so added feeling of security. Breakfast pack included, free wifi in the rooms and plenty of tea/coffee available in the rooms.
The shower was very temperamental and seemed to fluctuate between scalding hot and freezing cold. The blinds didn't shut properly and let a lot of light in on the sunny mornings.
Great location next to Queen's Park & walking distance to Hampden. Easy free parking. Very comfy beds. Rooms basic but adequate & excellent value.
Great location. Actually it's not in centre city but there are many buses available. The hostel is beside the Queen's park as its name. That park is a beautiful and quiet place. I saw also a pair of swans living there. The staffs are very nice. The second day I wanted to book a tour to Loch Ness but my credit of cellphone finished at that time, so the staff helped me to book it with their phone. Simple but useful facilities, also the bathroom is very clean.
There is no number on the bed so the last night when I came back I found someone else was sleeping on my bed...
The building was very nice. The rooms and bed comfortable. The staff was always smiling and happy.
Nothing to say.
the shower didnt work, staff were unable to help us, lights were flickering in shared bathroom, blinds would not close,
It was 'cheap and cheerful' and ideal for the location of the Function we were attending. There was a nice little 'breakfast' pack supplied in the morning, quite unexpected - but welcome!
It was very HOT - although the HEATING did'nt seem to be on!
Location was the only decent thing.
Do not book. The staff have the worst attitude I've ever seen in the hospitality industry. The shower did not work and when we reported to the reception, the member of staff just said that he was not on duty at the time. It is beyond my understanding how can someone respond to a client like that. the shower did not work in the morning that we checked out , so was on duty. When we arrived there was water leaking from the ceiling in the corridor. The room was very smelly, I had to keep the window open all night! The bathroom was filthy and the shower did not work. The whole place looks very tatty and unlooked after. The so called Lounge is nothing but a deposit area. Old mattresses and rubbish bags are part of the decor. Furthermore, on the website they say to be accepting Amex, but they do not! I would not return and would not recommend to anyone.
Having read some reviews I was concerned about what I was going to find, but my room (21) was clean, the bed comfortable with tea, coffee and biscuits provided.
Basic but clean and well located for Glasgow city.
Cheap, friendly, clean and comfortable. Breakfast bags of cornflakes and fruit juice were avail in the morning
The rooms were small and basic but fine for a nights stay
very nice comfortable pillows, best I have had in any Hotel.
I would have liked a restaurant that served breakfast, although the breakfast bag was ok. A nice LCD television would have been appreciated
- Their is a park in front of the hotel. - Cheap in comparison to other hotels. - Free complementary cereal, milk & juice every morning. - They allow you to leave the bags in the hotel after the checked out.
- They asked me to pay in advance and I agreed; however, when we checked-in, there were no hot water at all in our private room. When I asked the staff to fix the problem, they refused to fix it and asked me to use a common small bathroom that it seems the whole hotel used it to shower!!! sometimes you need to wait for other people to finish their bath!!!
Too many quests in a room
It was great for the price. I wanted a quiet, low cost room that was close to Hampden Park. This delivered on all fronts. This is a budget hotel not a five star, don't expect glamor and luxury and you won't be disappointed!
