Very good location. Two out of the three check-in clerks were very friendly and breakfast staff very friendly and efficient. Upgraded to double room as single was awful. This was a fair sized room and had air- conditioning and a nice view. Decent breakfast with good coffee. Free Wifi worked well in room and breakfast area. The single room that I booked was atrocious. Don't book these - I had to upgrade to a double room. The one check-in clerk was as unfriendly and unhelpful as could be possible. Room was very basic but in general clean, although the bed-spread was a little bit dodge. The bed appeared to be old and cheap.

We came for a shopping trip and chose this hotel for it's location. It was a decent 3 star hotel. The room was even bigger than I expected after reading comments before the stay. The breakfast was very basic but ok. I would say this is a nice hotel to stay in central London as long as you don't expect too much. Two tube stops and a bus stop are very close to the hotel and we could walk to Oxford street in 15 minutes.

Neat and friendly Bed and Breakfast, close to center. Was pleased a lot that rooms had heating(it was quite chilly outdoors), which is not often met in London hotels at this year time(May)

Very good location - it is near the Lancaster Gate station (Central line of underground) and Paddington st. Also Sussex street looks very nice and green. Service is good, roms are clean small, but it is normal for London ***hotels. The mixer in the washstand is european - not separate as traditional in England. Breakfast is not rich, but it is enough to start the day. I think only the breakfast should be more various.

Seems like the hotel had been recently rennovated so it has rather fresh and clean look. The location was really good - close to Paddington station and Hyde park, walking distance from the Oxford street shops. The staff was very polite. My room was the smallest in the hotel: about 1,8 meters wide and 3 meters long. there are like 30 cm between the bed and the table. I hardly had enough space for my laggage. The window "view" was represented by a black wall and a couple of the rain pipes.

Needed somewhere cheap and cheerful for the night. Location was ideal as close to Paddington Station. Was going to Wembley for FA Cup Semi Final so needed to drop my bags off before 2pm check in staff only too pleased to help. We had a basement room but it was quite spacious, small bathroom but fine for what we needed. Beds comfy although room was a tad cool. Having stayed at other hotels in this area, this is one of the more comfy ones! Breakfast could have more variety. Very basic even for a continental breakfast. Cereal, toast, cheese and boiled eggs. Tea or coffee and a fruit juice - have had better.

The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet neighbourhood between Paddington station and Hyde Park. Rooms are small and a bit shabby. In mine, the duvet had been burnt with a clothes iron and the telly had no remote control. Clean and serviceable, yes, but not posh.

The location of the hotel is right across the road from Paddington Train Station, so for convience of the london underground and the Paddington to heathrow expresss it was perfect. The fact that if you have a room on the top 4th floor, you have to walk up two flights of stairs with your luggage as the lift only goes to the 3rd floor,so for elderly or families with children need to take this into consideration. Continental breakfast is really just that! Toast and tea and coffee and a cold hard boiled egg and cheese. Cornflakes and all bran. Beds were not made properly and safe did not work even after I asked for it to be fixed.

The location was perfect (very close to Paddington station and in a safe area). The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was nice and clean too. The breakfast was sufficent (includes egg, cheese, croissant, toast, jam, butter, cornflakes, milk, yoghurt, orange juice, tea and coffee) The room was cleaned daily. There was a lift too (which is not usual in the hotels in that area) There are also some nice pubs around. I definately would stay there again. The room was small and the bathroom was really tiny, but it was not so annoying. The pressure of the water flowing of the shower was too low. The staff was not so cheerful.

Good location just a couple minutes walk from Paddington, the room was not too small and very clean and the facilities new. Quite cheap for central London The staff were not always friendly, very poor wi fi connection. But the worst part was the elevator only goes to the third floor, and my room was on the fourth, up the very steep and narrow stairs. Almost impossible to climb them with a heavy suitcase.

Newly refurbished room. No towels were provided, but I was assured they do normally provide them, so this looks like a one-time oversight.

Freindly staff , always very helpful . rooms were bright and cheerful cleanliness was out of this world. Fresh towels although you have to ask for more towels(showering) but not changed until you day of departure. Conveneint to paddington station and the tube also 5 min walk to the bus on bayswater road next to hyde park . 15 min walk to oxford street and marble arch Just need a little paint on the walls in the bedrooms also they need to check rooms before people check in . we had to ask for the electrician to check lightbulb was faulty also socket was loos from the wall , electric kettle was faulty, got a new one straight away , staff were very freindly and approachable

Everything was ok, except the "bathroom"! In the double room is so small that if you want to have a decent usage, you need to use it with doors open, so try to imagine the picture ;) The staff was excellent and the breakfast could be better, a bit various at least..

They allowed us to check in early Dreadful breakfast - as basic as it comes. Mattress has exposed springs coming through it and it was much smaller than the actual base of the bed. The shower was a trickle of water.
