Paul is a fantastic host. We were met in the car park and he carried our bags to our room. Here we were offered freshly made cake which was yummy! The room itself was lovely and just like a luxury hotel room. A huge Super King Deluxe bed and an ensuite finished to a very high standard. Each morning we were given a delicious breakfast of fruit, cereal and yoghurt followed by a wonderful cooked breakfast tailored to our individual needs (which I particularly appreciated being 5 months pregnant) Thank you Paul!
The host Paul was great and made us feel very welcome from the first minute to the last. Breakfast was really nice and catered for all tastes. Beautiful clean room with a nice big bed and comfy pillows made for a good nights sleep. The place lived up to its name as it was quiet! All this made for an enjoyable bank holiday weekend away and would definitely stay there again and recommend this to anybody wanting to stay in a village location...just be mindful that a giant supermarket isn't next door though and you have to travel for eating out etc for those from towns and cities.
We stayed when visiting family and really enjoyed our stay. Lovely breakfast, nicely decorated room, and owner was very friendly and helpful.
We were left a message by fellow guests asking us to be quiet as they were taking an early night and walls were very thin between rooms - their words!
The feeling of being really well looked after,
Paul was the quintessential host-with-the-most. Amazing energy - could not do enough to make our stay as comfortable as it could be.
Only regret was that we were there only one(1) night. Would have loved to had known how wonderful this place was prior to booking - and would have planned our trip differently so we could have spent more time there. He has a wealth of knowledge and is very helpful with plans for side trips to take in.
Quiet Location within striking distance of Yeovil. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast and friendly welcome.
Lovely location (with brilliant directions from the owner). Very attractive country house; three guest rooms, and we were the only people staying. Bedroom was lovely, with huge bed, palatial bath/shower room, lots of fluffy towels - we had an excellent night. Breakfast was varied and good, with croissants cooked to order. No pub in the village, and the highest-recommended local eatery was fully-booked, but we ate well at the nearest pub. Will definitely go back.
I just liked everything from the moment I left till the moment I left. Was a truly fantastic experience. Couldn't of asked for more. Keep up the good work.
Would have been perfect had their been somewhere to eat in the village but that's just as a business traveler not wanting to drive anymore after a day on the road.
The accommodation was spectacular, beautiful rooms with great facilities. Paul the host was brilliant at looking after us. Breakfast perfect, best mushrooms ever.
The friendly welcome and offers of cake and refreshments. The way Paul went out of his way to provide us with a lower tog quilt because we tend to feel the heat. Also, the host seemed genuinely interested in his guests
The wall between our room and the next could have been more sound proofed. There was a world champion snorer next door.
great hosts it was home from home.all our requirements were met
nothing about the place.unfortunately no where in walking distance to have a meal or drink, although we were told about this before our visit
Let's keep it simple. I've never given anywhere full marks before, guess I was saving them up for the Quiet Woman. So here we go 10/10. We visit this area visiting relatives and usually stay in a hotel, but this time they were full. So we discovered the Quiet Woman and from now on, if at all possible, we will return there. No question. Thanks for the warm welcome.
Couldn't stay another night.
I enjoyed the whole experience of staying at the Quite Woman House. I was made to feel as though I was a personal guest of the owners rather than a "punter". It was as restful a break as I've had in many years. The room and the bed were spacious, the bathroom had a bath as well as a shower, which was nice and he little touches of supplying nibbles and a bottle of water for guests to use on their trips out was a nice touch, along with the chocolates! Quite possibly the best B&B I've ever had the pleasure of staying at and I would, without question, go back if I need to stay in the area again.
Attention to detail in the room, very comfortable bed, courteous host, perfect breakfast.
Before I begin, a short word re the location of the Quiet Woman. We came to visit family in Bridport and could have stayed in the town, This being 11 miles from Bridport, however, we looked at the facilities and we're not disappointed in the least. It's location is perfect as a base to explore the rich history in the village, the surrounding countryside and the coast. We enjoy cycling around villages and sampling the local ales when taking a holiday, and would consider returning for a longer visit BECAUSE of the location. We experienced a lovely welcome from the owner on our arrival, including a slice of delicious lardy cake, served warm, in our room. Our room was of a very high standard with a very comfortable super king size bed. The bathroom had an electric shower installed, hoorah! These are much more user friendly, dispensing with the endless fiddling with a mixer tap, only to be scalded or frozen when moving the shower head one inch!!! Wonderful shower, in fact I had two in celebration. We spent a very comfortable nights rest. In the morning, our breakfast was a delight, perfectly cooked and served. Truly, we wanted for nothing here as ŵe enjoyed our stay very mucho
Owner was very friendly and chatty but respected your privacy. It felt like I had my own space and wasn't intruding in someone's house. Breakfast was excellent, good selection and quality.
We both liked the homeliness and great attention to detail. The owner was so helpful and always there to answer any questions. The room was second to none along with the en-suite which was all so clean and immaculate. Upon arriving in our room we had a selection of chocolates and plenty of tea and coffee as well as a very lovely slice of home made cake!
Great host, lovely breakfast. Very cosy house.
Greeted by Paul with tea and cake - who could ask for a better welcome. Very comfortable room with lots of little extras to make your stay special. Breakfast, just about anything you could think of. If you're in this area definitely the place to stay.
The extra thoughtful touches, - fresh milk in the room, a slice of fresh cake on arrival, the bathroom selection - the well presented room the wide choice of breakfast cereal and fruit, the freshly cooked breakfast, the relaxed friendly atmosphere. An excellent place to stay
All was great
We can do no other than confirm what has already been said about QWH. Paul is an exceptional host and this place is fantastic. Well designed, comfortable, clean rooms with a huge bed. Great food and superb service. Easily the best B & B we've ever stayed in.
The effort put in making us feel at home and the nice breakfasts.
very comfortable bed/room attention to detail from Paul the friendly host excellent breakfast
