Nice village situation, being met at the car and having bags carried in, Big bedrooms, very comfortable beds, great bathrooms, scrupulously clean, extras in room like chocolates and choices of teas and coffees, fresh milk. Details of nearby eateries with instructions on finding them. Good breakfast. Bags carried out to car.

Quiet Woman House is, in our opinion, the ultimate in b and b! Paul had thought of every detail, from a personal greeting on arrival and fresh Dorset Apple Cake, to bottled spring water in the bedrooms and tea and coffee facilities. The bedroom was beautiful and the photos do not do justice to the lovely characteristics of this historic building. It has been lovingly renovated to retain stone walls and wooden beams. The bedding was of the highest quality and the towels fresh and very fluffy! There are a range of interesting old photos displayed throughout the house, and text giving references to the history of the building. Paul provided an emailed guide to local eateries prior to our arrival and even gave us printed directions to those we had booked. It is clear that he is 100% committed to giving all guests the perfect stay - nothing is too much trouble. The icing on the cake was the breakfast... Faultless!! High quality ingredients and all cooked to perfection. A lovely selection of fresh fruits and cereals, fresh orange juice and hot drinks. The gardens are beautiful and the whole property is lovingly maintained. We cannot praise Quiet Woman House enough! There is not a single negative point about Quiet Woman House - we have already booked to return! Attention to detail is second to none. Thank you Paul!

Everything was lovely, friendly welcome, excellent room including luxury bathroom and facilities , especially the fresh milk for tea and cake in the room. Nothing was too much trouble for Paul and he made us feel special guests. Was surprised at the amount of traffic in the lane but not a problem

Paul and Lisa are to be commended on creating a wonderful warm and welcoming atmosphere at Quiet Woman House. Set in a rural location it has a glorious garden as well as a communal lounge and dining area unusual at most B & Bs. The rooms and bathrooms are finished to a very high standard and the attention to detail is amazing. Not only are matching hand soap , shower gel and bath foam provided but Pantene shampoo too ! The Coffee tray was a real treat with a choice of teas, coffee , cappucino , and the chocolate dust to go on top , as well as mini cheddars and a small bowl of chocolates. Did I forget to mention the homemade fruit cake.... As you can now imagine the breakfast was very good also and it was no trouble when I asked for a poached egg instead of fried. Recommendations and driving directions to local pubs and restaurants are provided as standard as well as luggage delivery to your room. We only stayed one night on the way home from Cornwall but would definately recommend it for a longer break too , the only difficulty will be deciding when to leave !

Paul was very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and well equipped and the apple cake (and breakfast) was delicious! The room was a little cool when I arrived (I expect because of the very changeable weather).

We loved the place! The welcome and subsequent attention from Paul was great, and we immediately felt "at home". The conversion from the old inn was very tastefully and well done, and the room was a treat. We had plenty of room and everything was clean, neat and in place. We only visited overnight, so cannot talk about a lengthy stay there, but the home-cooked breakfast was an absolute pleasure. Paul directed us to a nearby pub where we had a lovely evening meal in pleasant surroundings. In fact the whole area is lovely, and well worth a visit.

The service was truly exceptional! The owners have clearly thought of every little detail to try and make their guests' time there a lovely experience, including an information pack which includes the menus of their local inns/restaurants. Sweet touches like the addition of slices of local apple cake in the rooms made it a joy to stay there, while the comfort and cleanliness there was second to none!

The owners were very friendly and accomadating. The room was excellent, with beautiful decor. The hospitality tray was first class with every thought given to the visitor. The bed comfortable. The owner communicated the layout of the area before we stayed there as regards local amenities.

The Quiet Woman House is a B&B in a private, well-restored centuries old pub in a tiny village. There is a legend attached to it and the owner is very happy to tell his guests about the original "quiet woman", who came to a horrible end. The house is not haunted. It is very quiet and peaceful and the owner provided a lavish breakfast, serving both traditional and modern options. The bedrooms are furnished to a high standard and the en-suite bathrooms (we had a shower, not a bath) provided with everything a guest might need. We were very happy there and would warmly recommend the Quiet Woman to anyone wanting to immerse themselves in the Dorset countryside.

Excellent comfortable, clean accommodation. Tasty full English breakfast with plenty of other choices such as cereal, fruit, yoghurt etc. Friendly, welcoming hosts. Quiet, relaxing location but near enough to explore sights. Large parking facilities. Couldn't find fault with anything.

Our host Paul greeted us as we pulled up and carried our bags to the room. He was polite and friendly and manages to create the perfect balance of being attentive and helpful whilst giving you space. The breakfast was delicious, the little touches in our room showed thoughtfulness - cheese crackers, a bowl of sweets, fresh bottled water each day and the usual tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We would certainly visit again, as the house is in a lovely village setting with some good pubs a short drive away. It's a perfect base to visit different places and somewhere welcoming to come back to after a long day out.
