The friendly welcome, the value for money. Clean and simple. Not the prettiest hotel in the world! |

Booked for some visitors to the area and ended up staying as well. The location in Richmond was superb and the price seemed a bargain when booking. It all ends there. Very outdated, bathroom falling to pieces and choice of cereal or cold ham & cheese for breakfast. If you need a roof over your head then fine, but don't expect anymore than that! |

Extremely comfortable and affordable as always - I have stayed here many, many times. I was made to pay on check-in and just had the money to pay, despite staying here many, many times. |

It provided an en-suite room but the shower was not hot enough to use, the toilet didn't flush properly and, although the bathroom itself was clean the furnishings, decor were in need of upgrading. I had had no idea that I wouldn't be able to get food or drink at the hotel, which indeed should not have been described as a hotel at all because it was really a B&B or guest house. The breakfast arrangements were minimalist. Apart from being told which staircase to go down to get your breakfast there was no service at all. |

We noted previous reviews and from our experience we found some unfairly critical. Staff were friendly, value was good for the area. |

The bathroom needs refurbishing, black mould round shower mastic, ditto basin, one tap loose, ceiling paint overpainted onto wall tiles. Bedroom paint chipped generally, paint stains on carpet. Main stairs public areas much in need of redecorating. |

It was convenient for Richmond centre & for merely providing a bed while we visited relatives in Richmond The decor very tired inside - more attention needed to cleaning & to redecorating. |

close to Richmond village (walking distance),free safe parking, nice breakfast, staff friendly, beds very clean and comfy, the room was quite warm and we wanted the window open which meant the constant traffic made it hard to sleep-paintwork and carpet a bit grotty in patches, shower doors a bit wobbly |

Based upon our experience, you would be strongly advised not to stay here. Our room was not particularly clean or comfortable, which represents poor value at this price. Also, we found the staff to be unfriendly. But these points are minor compared with the traffic noise, which was constant throughout the night. As a result, we cancelled our second night here, which the receptionist did rather reluctantly. |
