This Georgian-style townhouse hotel is located in the heart of the market town of Loughborough, a 10-minute walk to the train station. It has a restaurant and free parking.
Score from 165 reviews Good
The large library/lounge area.
Generally run down hotel. Booked a suite for the family which was roomy enough but lacked style in every way. The staff were completely indifferent to your existence without asking what your plans are, good morning, good evening, thank you for coming - nothing!
poor facilities and sub standard breakfast
The location and setting. The ladies who cleaned the rooms were very efficient and friendly,it was clean
The rooms need refurbishing, the reception staff were not particularly welcoming the cost for just the room per night was expensive for what it was, this used to be the best hotel in the area but not any more, It didn't live up to my expectations,
Location and old building nice for weddings but not for business.
Poor WIFI, dreadful music and at a high volume in the breakfast room. Breakfast staff brought wrong egg choice to all 4 people in our group. Never again for me.
Room was spacious Bar area is comfortable
£3 charge for paying with Credit card Breakfast area was messy, no plates cleared and cooked breakfast was poor quality and cold
We stayed here for a wedding. The hotel and village is very quant.
No hotel facilities such as gym/swimming pool
Convenient location for our event in the village. Comfortable rooms and polite staff.
Slightly more expensive then other Hotels and breakfast pricey.
The location was wonderful and the accommodations very good. We would look forward to another stay. The staff, in particular Paige our chief facilitator went out of her way to show us consideration with the village of Quorn.
Room good size Comftable bed Friendly staff
Room directly above funcation room where a 21st party was going on, the fire alarm then went off due to a smoke machine been used at the party. Had we of been pre warned ref the party would of booked another hotel.
The room on the ground floor.the noise from the wedding was unbearably loud and it was impossible.to sleep.
The food was disappointing.there was no gluten free. Bread, even though you were warned before we came. No GF bread was supplied for the second morning. This could have been purchased from a local shop.
We had to endure banging base so loud we couldn't hear TV or sleep from 530 pm until 1130 then drunk party guests chatting outside for hours - we were staying at hotel to attend a rememberence service
On arrival Reception Clerk suggested we might like to upgrade to a quieter part of the hotel [overlooking their lovely gardens] as a wedding reception was being held there. Also, I left a small jewellery box behind and the Housekeeper reported it immediately so I was able to return to collect it before travelling back to London.
The location. The bar area. The restaurant. The room.
Chaotic breakfast due to lack of staff.
Gardens and the nearby River Soar.
Very few other guests, no atmosphere.
Room too warm, the full fan on -5degree pumped out warm air.
staff working very hard in challenging environment
tired decor in bar, damage to baths gloss painted over food poor
Food and service staff good enjoyable stay.
Rooms need updating .
Location was lovely, airy, light. Parking great. Room big, bathroom great too.
No music, no salt, pepper on table. Had to request butter, not enough food on table such as cheese, salami, no brown bread, etc. Tables left untidy after previous guest. Staff was not on top of things.
The welcome.The room facilities.Free Internet.The evening meal.The garden.
I thought you were not set up for us at breakfast even though there were few guests in breakfast at the timr
cleanliness of room
shower curtains present in what was otherwise a very good bathroom
The bed was not to bad
The bath was blocked and filled up with 3" of weather Plus it was very dirty and cobwebs and hair in the bathroom and on the carpet
helpful staff lovely rooms very clean
food was poor quality beer was very poor and overpriced
The breakfast in this day and age should be able to cook Veggie sausages
We were at quorn country on our wedding night and I stayed the night before with friends - the staff couldn't do enough for us - they were exceptionally helpful
The cleanliness did not have enough attention to detail - it felt like it had nit been quality checked after completion (and there were only 8 guests staying on Friday). The restaurant is too closely seated and formal
Rooms were comfortable, plenty of parking.
The wedding disco meant sleeping before mIdnight is not likely. We did ask if we were likely to be disturbed. "Shouldnt be" was the answer. She lied. Lovely hotel but you won't get to enjoy it if there is a function on and there are lots of them. The disco was in the sitting room. There should be massive discounts during wedding weekends. Check before you book! You've been warned.
