Quorn Country Hotel  

My daughter and I had a very comfortable one night stay. The standard of the accommodation room was high and we really enjoyed the breakfast.

Continuing droan all night. restaurant has a very poor menu and the waiting staff had no idea how to run a proper restaurant.

could not turn heating down at night so room was too hot. Got an electric shock from light socket, reported it to reception but they did nothing.

Executive rooms were very basic. Room service 30 mins late with breakfast.

Good sized spacious room and easy location.

1) No one was able to rectify the towel rail that was supposed to be heated, but was not! 2) We were kept awake for most of the night by the "drone" of the air conditioning unit that had been left on in the conference suite. We were told in the morning that we should have contacted the night porter to address this problem but no reduction in price was offered.

The staff were friendly and welcoming however the hotel was what I expected from when I viewed the pictures on the internet but with little choice of hotels to choose from in this area and as I was meeting people for dinner on the evening in Quorn it seemed the best of the bunch. The hotel was dated with lots of Mahogany wood panelling and the rooms were a little tired and also dated. For a mid week stay costing £96 including breakfast it is well over priced and I would not stay here again.

A very nice hotel in lovely grounds. Would definately go back again if I need to be in the area. Might even go just because it would be a great weekend. Friendly staff, good size rooms maybe just too child friendly for us.

Very nice place to stay staff were very friendly room very comfortable and clean which is exactly what you are looking for at any accommodation. Our accommodation was for just two nights as we were on our way to North Yorkshire and needed to catch up with Family on he way, so this was a convenient location for us. We had a lovely meal on our first night, in the restaurant priced very reasonable silver service very attentive staff, breakfast was also very nice and the reception staff gave us a voucher for breakfast £8.50 for full breakfast which we thought very reasonable, lovely bright dining room as the hotel decor is rather dark. We would stay again if in the area.

Good location for us as convenient for Loughborough

Rooms not particularly clean or well appointed bearing in mind it was meant to be an executive double. The bathroom had mould. My daughter's bedroom had a dummy on the floor. The general decor was dated and worn. The bar area had run out of tonic as there had been a wedding the previous day. Choice at breakfast was poor and service not as expected.

I stayed on a Sunday night and there was no cheddar cheese for the toasted sandwich. Cheddar is a run-of -the mill cheese seems strange to run out. The staff were casual/friendly which suited me but would not suit everyone. The accommodation was very hot. Breakfast was fine but the load music was not- something quite for breakfast would I think be more suitable

It was a wedding reception venue - so location.

At wedding reception the room was too warm, we asked for air conditioning and were told it was on. To eleviate the temperature fire doors were open, which meant small children were running outside. The air conditioning was finally adjusted by one of the wedding guests - it was at 24 deg. The children had to wait over an hour for a drink. Small cultery not provided. The Rooms:- The bathrooms had black and orange mould on the tiles. There was shampoo and shower get but no soap to wash your hands. We could hear the extractor fan in the room next door's toilet. We could hear clear as a bell our neighbours using the toilet!! There was a false fire alarm went off at 8.30 am in the morning - not an actual fire evac. For £109 for room only you would think they could update the tv. The wardrobes smelled musty. The hot drink sachets had not been replenished properly as, can you imagine an English hotel and there were no tea bags!! Although we did not stay for breakfast we were told it was overpriced and the service was poor. There was a massive tear in the carpet in the lounge, which was not taped down. Trip hazard. The receptionist did not ask us whether our room was satisfactory and did not apologise for the fire alarm.

Large, comfortable bed; lovely gardens, free Wi-Fi and good breakfast

many weddings and group-festivities,no attention for the regular customer, during our stay there was no restaurant service available, so we went to the village for breakfast and dinner. The Quorn-exchange bistro is excellent for both breakfast and dinner and very frienldy staff as well.

The hotel was in a central location for the purpose of our visit. The bedroom was very spacious and comfortable, with excellent facilities

It would be nice to gar a smocker's room

The hotel clearly features greatly on wedding functions but somewhat at the expense of non wedding visitors. Staffing levels for visitors were inadequate and clearly not of an age or experience to provide services required. Reception desk was too small to deal with numbers of above 4. food menues left us underwelmed so we ate out. Main reception and lounges are in need of investment
