Quiet room very clean breakfast cooked as you ordered (brought hot milk with my coffee without hesitation. Not rushed plenty of coffee and tea available breakfast was cooked to perfection
Did not try restrauant even though it was my birthday the menu was n ot to our taste? but after sampling breakfast we wished we had given it a try? Perhaps next time?
Pool, gym and spa were all good and not busy. Loved the location and being located slightly away from main hotel building in "stable block" all done very nicely in "earth" colours. Food good, staff friendly and efficient. Room comfy, loved having tea/coffee making facilities and ironing board etc - always a bonus.
The restaurant was very busy at breakfast time and seemed understaffed. The gym was hot - could do with some air conditioning. But minor points and would certainly not prevent me from returning.
Easy access to Cambridge good pool and spa facilities excellent food an service
Quite expensive and starting to need a little tlc
The room, excellent bed and great service and spa health club was great Great restaurant and service
Far from cambridge Steak sauces shouldn't be charged for based on quality More secure corridors for accommodation on the outside
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and put themselves out to help.
Beautiful bedroom emaculate bathroom. Lovely decor very clean.
Lack of waiting on staff during breakfast.
Pool, sauna, steam, spa Restaurant and food Our room was most acceptable
Bedroom was excellent. Recently refurbished and very comfortable. Food in restaurant was very good but pricey.
Wi-Fi was very hit and miss.
No lift. 2 flights of stairs to cope with. Very difficult to find, had to phone and get directions. A simple arrow on sign board would have helped enormously.
I would like on night free
I liked the room, the service and the staff were all very polite and helpful. I liked the pool and steam and sauna, and of course all the outside and surrounding area.
we arrived on Friday ready for my cousins wedding the following day. I decided to book in for a facial only to be told that all appointments were taken up by a hen party. I was disappointed in that. I thought that there would be appts available for the wedding party guests.
Fairly modern room in one of the detached buildings. The gym/pool/spa facilities are a good size for a hotel. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Quiet location and good value compared to city centre options. Bed was comfortable, and duvet and pillows of high quality.
The wifi at this hotel is shocking. This is the second time at the hotel and both times wifi in room is useless (stayed in main building last time). This time the receptionist gave me a 'booster' to plug into the socket in my room but it was of little help. This is a real deterrent for business travellers. I heard several people also complaining at breakfast. The food at the bar restaurant is very over priced. Mediocre pub food at extortionate prices. I ordered the brownie for desert - it was rock hard and stale - at least over a week old, and the ice cream was frosty. At £7 I would have expected something edible. Fortunately the server was fantastic and apologetic - she took it off my bill. While my room was nice, it was a quite noisy. Not enough sound proofing between the hall and room, and the electric heater incredibly loud (comes on and off all night when turned on).
Sheer luxury and indulgence
Breakfast was exceptional Staff were very helpful
There was a wedding celebration and the music stopped at midnight in the main building. Felt the Dinner Menu was over priced so we didn't eat in.
free parking nice staff clean nice rooms
bit of a drive into Cambridge
the cleanliness and the facilities are excellent. I shall be coming back with my wife and use the Mill as a base for exploring Cambridge.
Evening & breakfast service was a little slow, everyone was extremely polite.
food was excellent and SPA was heavenly :)
internet in room not so strong
Nice clean, comfortable room with good facilities
Service in the restaurant was lax
Excellent size room. Good bed and bathroom. Excellent menu .Great shef and service staff for dinner.
A few maintenance problems in the room relatng to bathroom. Sevice at breakfast was slow and haphazard. Food was not served as it was cooked.
Nice and clean - great pool and nice food in the bar
Location on way back from Channel Crossing to Derbyshire. Spa and pool facilities free to guests. Large room with crisp clean linen. Reception staff were friendly and professional.
Booking made in March for August stay. Was not advised that hotel also had a wedding, birthday party and a group family dinner that effectively left us to spend the evening in the bar. The restaurant was full so had to eat in the bar as well. That would not have been so bad had we not witnessed activities of staff. For example, bar staff sniffing glasses that had been returned on trays to determine if they had been used or not. Then put back on shelf if thought to be unused. Over priced steak with anaemic 'hand turned' chips. No garnish with meal. Premium price for a below average meal. Several suited staff wandering around looking like trainees but were apparently the senior managers. Pitiful lack of organisation as meals came out and the a debate over which table they might be for.
The room, location with respect to Cambridge, Food, Spa Facilities.
Everything food also was great
Lovely building and fantastic staff. Didn't get the chance to use the pool or spa but if up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel, I'm sure it's fabulous.
We stayed on a Friday night and there had been a wedding during the day, with evening celebrations still going on. Not really a problem but could hear the disco from our room, even despite not being in the main building. Also, there was some kind of machine room or something immediately next door to our room, 103 with what sounded like an aeroplane taking off, at various times during the night, so despite a wonderfully comfortable bed, we didn't sleep too well. Dinner was great but very expensive.
