Great location - direct route to the park & ride service into Cambridge City centre only ten minutes away, Hotel grounds were beautiful and spacious very soothing after trekking around the City all day. Pool & leisure centre very relaxing. Room was stylish and spotless. Staff were checking the quality of our duvet as we arrived ! Food plentiful and excellent. All staff very welcoming and friendlywhich made us feel comfortable . Would definately stay again and will recommend to others Needs a bit of back ground music in dining room felt like a dentist waiting room at breakfast - too quiet. Biggest problem is we did nt book for long enough so we could fully enjoy the hotel - but we hope to return.

Room was very clean and comfortable with all essential facilities. Staff were helpful. Hotel spa was good and provided a relaxing experience after a day sightseeing. Car park had plenty of room. Restaurant limited choice -expensive menu. Bar area lacked atmosphere. Could do with some form of background music!

Countryside location was ideal. National Trust nearby. Hotel Spa facilities. Special deal. Rooms comfortable and near to parking. Local pubs serving great food at half the hotel price. Found the hotel meal start prices and drinks to expensive for me there were no cheaper options. I was not on company expenses.

Everything - we were upgraded to beautiful, newly refurbished rooms. The spa was superb, breakfast first rate and the staff extremely helpful. All communal rooms were to a very high standard. Well placed for the Park & Ride into Cambridge. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very little - just the humming noise from the motorway when sitting in the very lovely grounds. Didn't stop us enjoying our drinks though !

The staff were helpful especially Kathleen the housekeeper who was marvellous helping us sort out the problem with our room. Just her caring personality helped smooth over the sleepless night we had had. Our Room 103 was next to the Boiler room and we didnt sleep all night. We had especially planned this treat getaway in the countryside because we wanted peace and quiet. We were transfered to room 106 for the next night. It had a spa bath which proceeded to turn itself on for several times after use after we had gone to bed and it prevented us sleeping. Someone had to come and turn the thing off. Apparently it auto cleans after use - had I known I wouldnt have used it. Couldnt get to sleep again after that. So our quiet stopover was completely ruined by the boiler room and the spa...we were gutted...... when I asked for a commercial gesture we were given 15% off for the first night which added insult to injury. Why give people rooms you know to have problems, when there are others available, even if it means an upgrade ? Having worked in the hotel business ourselves for over 30 years we were surprised at this. We know most hotels have some dud rooms but why give them if you can avoid it ? Rather give an upgrade and have a happy customer who will come back rather than a very unhappy one who will not......

Nice quiet location and very convenient for Park and Ride facility into Cambridge City. Excellent quality decor and well maintained. Breakfast very good. Heating had to be switched off at night as the temperature setting was too high. Duvet cover was too heavy and we took a while to fall asleep.

Nice situation on the river, friendly staff, lovely pool and spa area. I was charged nearly 40% more than the fee agreed when I booked online and did not receive details of this when I checked out, just that "the room has been paid in full". Only found out I had been charged £162 rather than £112.50 when I got my credit card statement a week later but I will follow this up. Can be a bit difficult to find on the postcode on Google maps. Check signage carefully for entrance road.

Location great for visiting Cambridge and a Park and Ride is close by. We would come back for the convenience but not for dining and would probably pay more for a room in the main buiding. Bedroom was clean and comfortable but rather dark and sound proofing to neighbouring rooms did not seem effective. Dining room very small and overcrowded and therefore very noisy. Not the place for a quiet dinner for two.

Fantastic hotel, converted from a water mill but still retaining original features. Beautiful grounds, staff really friendly & professional and food great too. Ideal for a wedding or trip to Cambridge. Only 5 mins from a park and ride into the city.

location, value thanks to booking .com, ( best western actually put us in an upgraded room). Park & ride nearby, food deals good value and excellent quality. Pool and spa facilities included & deals to be had for massage etc. Would not hesitate to visit again. room 203 would benefit from air conditioning, the o/head fan as better than nothing. Standard of room should have included robe & slippers . (Best Western plus we have stayed in before had them )

The room we had was excellent. Great room with very comfortable bed and great bathroom. The front lawn was a beautiful view from our window and the mill wheel room is worth seeing. Very disappointed with the food. The breakfast was O.K. except for the broken crockery but the evening meal was very poor & we chose to eat away from the venue rather than be subjected to poorly cooked and over seasoned food. Also the restaurant staff were very poor and didn't seem to know what they were doing. Lots of rushing about looking busy but not serving. Made to wait over half an hour before our order was taken and the restaurant was not that full.

I loved everything about my stay - bed and bedroom was lovely, clean and comfy. Leisure facilities were great - good gym, sauna, steam room, swimming pool and jacuzzi. Food was delicious and staff very attentive. I would definitely stay again - and wished i could have stayed for more than one night.
