The lay out was lovely it felt cosy and not like a hotel at all.
The lounging area of the spa was disappointing not enough beds...but the rest of that area was V good
Friendliness of the staff. Comfort of the room. The spa facilities and the fact that we could use them after checking out.
Having to go outside to the room and the noise emanating from the central heating boiler during the night. We did mention this and were given another better room where the noise was not so audible. Also breakfast was quite expensive at £12.95, but to charge an extra £4.50 for a tiny piece of haddock was rather insulting.
Comfortable bed Nice room
Wifi was poor
The environment and staff were excellent. I cannot fault anything from the booking of the wedding through to arrival, the event and check out. A really big thank you to special people for making it a special day for everyone.
No phone signals on many different networks.
Spacious rooms, plenty of parking, stylish decor and very good receptionist on duty when we arrived.
Bedroom in separate building - OK in dry weather, but need coats and umbrellas to reach restaurant.
staff and food all good
Spa was fantastic
Clean and efficient but soul-less
Great hotel. We had an lovely room with all facilities. Hotel has a brilliant swimming pool and gym. Staff were really helpful. Highly recommended.
Location is near a village just outside Cambridge, close to the A14. On the map it looks like a short distance into the city but traffic is heavy and it took us 30 mins to drive there. However much better value than city centre hotels.
The room and bathroom were clean and tidy and the bed comfortable. Good location for Cambridge (via Park & Ride)
The restuarant menu was unexciting and very very expensive. On 1st night ate in the bar - friendly and effiecient staff, but prices, again, were overly steep (£16 for a chickpea burger!!). Breakfast service was awful, buffet items not replenished, and cooked breakfast (when eventually it arrived) was cold and inedible. No apology for awful service or quality of food. Bedroom in outside block (hadn't realised, but should have); could hear everything from neighbouring bedrooms.
Room and bath
room was very comfortable, and staff friendly.
We did object to paying the sort of money which was being asked for a main meal. Breakfast at £12.50 ought to conatin more than 1 piece of bacon!
spa was lovely room was comfortable
room was not ready on arrival at 2 pm noise from wedding dinner in restaurant expensive but not the quality that you paid for
The facilities and location were excellent and the breakfast the following morning rounded off a pleasurable stay
The only negative was our room, whilst the decor and the bed were of a very good standard the room itself was located under a boiler that was very noisy, which sounded like an old style twin tub every time it kicked in
Friendly staff, great breakfast, super and quiet location only 10 minutes drive into Cambridge. Stayed for the weekend as a base to explore Cambridge.Park and Ride location only 5 minutes drive away. Free parking is a bonus: most hotels in Cambridge centre seem to charge between £18 and £20 per night. Free wifi a real bonus. (a necessity these days) We will definitely stay here again when we next come to Cambridge
Leisure centre, swimming pool, Bedroom Comfort of bed. Breakfast was good.
Room not ready, especially on a one night stay. Had requested a shower not over a bath. However jaccuzi bath was good, once the power supply switch had been located next to the bed! Food was average and expensive. Wallpaper pealing off in the dining room, only small sections but gives an indication as to the general upkeep. Bedroom had cobwebs along the beam in the ceiling.
Convenient to Cambridge, quiet.
Stay alert - GPS instructions are close - not exact.
Drinks at the bar are very expensive.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was lovely to ha e t and coffee in the room.
Check in is too late and check out is to early.
Very comfortable room . Superb bed ! Staff in the hotel very pleasant and helpful . Lovely staff in the spa .
The location was great. The room was perfect.... It had the most comfortable bed ever. The food was gorgeous although I couldn't finish it because the portion was so big. The staff were polite and very attentive. Will definitely be booking a room here again
Cambridge is beautiful but the hotels near to the center are quite pricy, this hotel is beautiful and only just outside the main town. The room was lovely and spa very nice, we ate in the town so I can't judge the restaurant but had a nice bar area. I would recommend this hotel to others.
5 miles from Cambridge Plenty of parking Excellent food Helpful staff
Ever present roadway noise
