The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble.
The excellent restaurant and staff. In fact, everything.
Nothing to not like.
VERY NICE HOTEL
The staff were brilliant and the room was well appointed with an amazing bathroom.
The one thing that detracted was the fact the windows were frosted and locked due to some council regulation. It makes you wonder what the world is coming to.
Central location, efficient check in/out
Finding the way around the ground floor. Didn't find the restaurant. Hotel was very much a corporate one nighter. Older folk would probably prefer a more traditional hotel. Try the Angel in the High Street
Standard hotel, clean, comfy and quite room.
City centre location all facilities very plush bath and shower in room very comfy bed
Central Location, easy access Safe (but expensive) parking Elegant decor, spacious bathroom Well-furnished bedrooms
Small shower with fixed head Bedrooms a little cramped
Friendly staff good service
Internet was easy and quick. Nice spa and gym. Good bar.
Not much really. Cocktails could have been more varied.
Clean with pleasant, helpful staff
No view from bedroom window
Not something we have done before, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, very impressed with the rooms.
Main reason we chose the hotel was for the pool, which was advertised on booking as a rather large pool. Ended up being tiny and was broken during our stay, which took away a huge portion of our enjoyment.
The decor The room size was ok Staff were lovely Checking in and out was fast Cleanliness was perfect The bathrooms were beautiful
The cooked part of the breakfast There was no dressing table area (i.e. no mirrors in frint of a seat) so slightly difficult to get ready.
Location, steak in restaurant was nicely cooked.
Rooms very dark and small, no electric points near mirror which was opposite bathroom door, no where to sit to apply makeup etc, large cob/dust web hanging from the ceiling.
The staff were extremely welcoming & friendly throughout our whole stay. We mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary & we got a very nice surprise at the door with a plate spelling out 'Happy Anniversary' in chocolate with a couple of little cakes, an extremely lovely gesture. The food & cocktails were delicious, pricey but well worth it!! Definite must stay & would recommend to all friends & family all day long.
service, room, location
parking - £10 a night! limited spaces also had to use pay car park
Really friendly, very helpful staff, comfortable bed. Good central Guildford location.
Breakfast was not up to standard. Floppy bacon, poor sausage and tasteless scrambled eggs.
Stylish design Very clean Comfy bed Luxurious bathroom Good quality toiletries Free wifi
Restaurant does not really cater for vegetarians. Food was a little expensive so eating at there was not an option for us. Should not have to pay for parking.
The central location
The fact that my small children couldn't use the swimming pool facilities because of the "dim lighting". This was not made clear when I booked the hotel. It was the main reason we booked it as we wanted to stay at a place with a pool for the children. It felt like a mean thing to do.
The bathroom was very stylish, with very good facilities.
The full fridge with items to buy which had to be emptied to put our water in. The set of drawers in the wardrobe were damaged due to the hinges on the door. The pool was tiny glad I checked before I paid to use it
Facilities Cleanliness Staff Attendance Location: Perfect
Please see the answers above.
According to the internet as a guest there are sporting amenities available. When I checked in I was told that I would have to pay to use the amenities because too many people were using them on the weekend. The whole purpose of my weekend visit was to relax at the pool etc etc.
