Staff were excellent and room was spacious.
The pillows were very firm and uncomfortable.
Easy check in,breakfast was great
Double bed was 2 singles joined together
Sleeping on first floor is like sleeping in a sauna. Service and breakfast as bad as I have experienced anywhere
Location of hotel
Drinks from bar pricey and the red wine wasn't nice at £7.35 a glass but we didn't want to make a fuss. Also wasn't impressed with the breakfast
Easy check in, clean and very comfortable room, with a good view and no external noise. Easy access to city. Excellent breakfast.
Difficulty turning reading lights off independently
The beds are pushed together to make a double which made it uncomfortable
Breakfast, location and Leisure facilities
Bedside light broken and cobwebs on the ceiling. Car parking charges
location was perfect with relatives and good restaurants all within walking distance.
slow to pick up room service trays and glasses left in hallway and timing of room cleaning was inconsistent, sometimes morning, sometimes afternoon although staff was flexible.
Lovely room, very comfortable, quiet and warm even though the weather was very cold.
No housekeeping one day, had to ask for refreshments to be topped up.
The location was excellent for going into Durham and the spa facilities were really good
The restaurant attached to the hotel. Breakfast was excellent but the evening menu was expensive and not good
From the moment you walk in we wanted for nothing, the staff where very helpful, the hotel itself was spotless, the junior suite was very spacious and modern. The leisure facilities where excellent overall an excellent and comfortable experience. We will definitely be staying at the radisson blu again in the future.
General ambience and feel good factor
when returning to my room at 3.45 pm it had not been serviced when I queried this I was told in no uncertain way that t the room could be serviced up till 4pm. This was not made clear at the start of my stay.
Room was quite big and reasonably quiet
Staff were not very cheerful and got the feeling they just wanted me the customer to move on as quickly as possible. Ordered turkey sandwich for room service, Turkey was processes slices on cheap white bread salad virtually non existent. Very disappointed with the service which is a pity as I stay at raddison hotels quiet often.
Excellent location, staff, room, bar and fitness facilities..perfect from start to finish.defo returning and will definitely recommend
Nothing,everything perfect .....
Hotel location to shops & bars is just over the bridge...1st class breakfast..
Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Me and my partner would definitely recommend the radisson to others and would stay again.
Good location, convenient for walking into town. Comfortable rooms, helpful staff. Good breakfast.
We stayed in a business class room and the standard and value for money was excellent. All of the staff were really helpful if you needed anything. The pool area was also really good and clean. There was loads of choice at breakfast (even if the toaster burnt your toast)! Would definitely recommend and stay again
Stayed for New Years Eve & attended the black tie dinner do, fab night enjoyed by all. Fab facilities that were also used
The bed was two single beds pushed together, would of been more comfortable with a mattress topper as could really feel the join, giving a very uncomfortable sleep
Location. gym, breakfast, room, free drinks on upgrade offer.
Hot hand basin tap was not working properly and temperature of water was too low for decent bath. No instructions on how to use coffee maker.
Service and staff were very helpful and friendly, pool sauna and steam room a bonus for our stay
Restaurant menu could have had more choice
Too few staff at breakfast. Lots of things had ran out, tables not cleared. Generally felt short staffed and not managed. Bed was lumpy and uncomfortable
