Everything! Would definitely recommend hotel and area.
The best thing about staying in the Radisson blu hotel would have to be the great friendly welcome, the cleanliness and the willingness of staff to ensure that our stay was relaxing and enjoyable! House keeping were extremely polite and made us feel very comfortable!
the only thing that we could say here is the price of alcohol/wine was a little pricey.
The staff were extremely friendly & helpful
Staff and leisure facilities
Pillows - best I've ever slept on
Friendly staff. Very comfortable. Breakfast in bed at no extra cost as we had paid up front.
Hard to get on wi fi, received no mail during my stay, minor detail to be honest. Had to pay for hotel parking which in my experience is unusual.
They were lovely, helpful and nothing to fault.
My grown up daughter and I shared a twin room which was a good size, nice toiletries, everything very clean. Good location. Quiet at night. Staff very friendly.
central location; taxi rank outside
Any problem we had was swiftly corrected, such as heating problem, which was quickly solved by a free upgrade to a business room and free movie package. Well done!!.
For a 4* hotel it is ready for a refurb.,especially in the communal areas above the entrance floor.
Friendly staff great location, stunning building, good parking Looking to return in February!
The location of the hotel is perfect for wandering around Edinburgh old town and not to far a walk to the busy princess street shops and restaurants.
I can't think anything that we weren't happy with on our short break.
Choice of duvets and pillows. Close to main station and art gallery.
Rumpled carpet.Large duvet wasn't big enough to cover both of us ( we are average sized). Very dusty blinds.
the location of hotel was excellent for both the royal mile and princess street shopping and if you needed to take a taxi there was a rank right outside front door of hotel .
chairs stacked out in corridor which gave it a bit of a untidy look
For this hotel to be in the upper class of accommodation in Edinburgh it needs to be of a better state the carpets in the corridors are a disgrace stains on them that could never be removed just needs an update for what it costs. Went to our room opened the door and the last person had been smoking in the room not nice but not a problem to get us another room.previous trips to city we have stayed in the George hotel this hotel has to step up to be as good as it.
Location Staff Facilities Size of room
Not much choice if alcohol Room not very clean Tv a little small (compared to the ibis the night before)
Edinburgh is a beautiful city we found everyone very friendly the hotel being a comforting place to come back to after our day's out didn't want to leave.
My only critism was the room never felt as good on returning on future days as it did when we first arrived particularly the bed the throw and cushions weren't put back on the bed but this was a very small point
Everything about the hotel, staff very helpful, very welcoming.
Did not sleep very well due to pillows being very soft. Would be better if a selection of pillows could be left in room.
fantastic room with comfy bed , best bed ive slept in ever(and i stay in alot of 5 star hotels all over the world!) awsome breakfast and staff were all very polite .
just a little confused with the t.v we were told that all the movies were free with our buisness class room and that it would look like we were getting charged but they would not appear on our bill!! fair doos ! now when i was looking for the movies selection, i came across the pay tv it said it contained adult material but we just thought the adult movies were on the list so we put our room number in only to find it was just an adult movie channel !!! this happened to both me and my wife on different channels which was quite funny but then we realised there wass a separate button for the movie selection. not to worrie thank god all the movies are free lol. no lol when we go to pay our bill wjen we are told that all 12 99 movies are to pay for ! i wish they would have told us that when we checked in as i would have rang the reception straight away to inform them of our mistake but we were hit with 25 pounds extra . i think you need to make it a little clearer when guests are checking in as what is to pay for. i know its an embarrasing subject but it was an honest mistake on our part and we were under the allution that (as your receptionist explained) All movies are free!
Great location excellent breakfast good quality and choice . Very helpful staff
great location great car parking facilities for centre of Edinburgh coffee facilities in room great leisure facilities (albeit pool was small) classy and modern reception layout
- HOTEL WAS FREEZING - room was freezing (had to get a heater brought up) - had a better room in a hostel carpets in corridors and room were dated and look something out of a 70s movie - rooms have no character (I had a business one!!) - shampoo condiments were tiny (enough for an infant) - coffee facilities had to be spared (enough for one cup each!!) - no robes in room (as part of deal)
Lovely hotel perfectly located for Edinburgh. The staff went out of their way to help and even surprised my wife with a birthday dessert
Location was good for facilities I.e. Train station and shopping and for venues.
The carpets on the corridors where badly stained and looked dirty giving a poor reflection of the rest of the hotel.
requested quiet room and got it; requested very late check out and got that too; fairly quick check in and out; soya milk at breakfast
Car park felt slightly insecure (there was a sign advising patrons not to empty petrol tanks - pretty sure people weren't emptying their own tanks!).
Two twin beds placed together for a King Size. During the night the beds moved apart and left a large gap in the middle.
