The location was good, right on the Royal Mile. The staff were nice seemed like they wanted to help.
Bed and pillows were awful. Pillows especially, sank to nothing when you rest on them. TV kept going off. A staff member fixed it by jiggling the wires. He did offer to come back and help again if needed in fairness.
Location & parking
Dirty carpets. Room needed dusted
Perfect location, perfect service, friendly personnel, spacious room, value for money!
Selection of TV channels was very limited.
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and great location
location and architecture were great; staff were very helpful, room was spacious, free wifi
standard room was confortable, clean and spacious, but it was also a bit run down and dark. The pool is tiny (a plunge pool really) and very dated, and the changing rooms are in dire need of refurbishment.. but then again, it's Edinburgh and there's plenty on and no need to spend all of your time in the hotel..
Staff are very friendly and helpful also location as close to everything
Convenience for the various facilities that Edinburgh offers
not a lot
Excellent customer service. Very individualised personal service. Free room upgrade. My husband is asthmatic and the pillows and duvet were changed immediately from the feather ones, with a smile . Nothing was a problem to the staff. Great free wifi . Great nights sleep. Would come back again .
The hotel general areas probably a bit tired carpets a bit stained but wouldn't stop me staying here.
Bedroom very clean
Hallway leading to rooms carpet needs replacing absolutely disguisting!
Location, very quiet room, spacious room, car park
Disappointing leisure area - small pool, no steam room. We were very surprised at the lack of knowledge from front desk about restaurants in the area - the member of staff we spoke to should have passed us over to someone who could help us or been sufficiently trained herself.
This was my second stay at the hotel and the staff were lovely. We were able to check in early as there was a room available.
Carpets in corridors heavily stained. Noticed this on my last stay 4/5 years ago. Noise from pub in side street terrible. No bathrobes but we did get them when we asked.
Staff just lovely. Fantastic location. Bed wonderful
Location excellent and the staff were really friendly. Would recommend eating in the restaurant too.
The carpets were badly stained in the hallway.
The area was close to the venue, the staff were very helpful.
The bed was not too comfortable. The lighting was poor for getting ready. There was a leak in the cistern, so the floor was always wet. The water pressure of the shower was not good.
Wonderful city location 5 minute walk to Castle, railway station etc. Friendly approachable staff. Amazing breakfast. Quiet atmosphere. Spacious business class room.
Despite the space in the room, the ambience is a little sparse. Carpets and floor coverings in public areas and also in our room were decidedly grubby in places.
Us four girls had an amazing time in Edinburgh. Due to the location and quality of the Radisson. (and of course first time to be upgraded ever) staff helpful and hotel beautiful. Breakfast a great start to our day of shopping and 5 minutes from train station. Loved it
Excellent breakfast Location Free WiFi Helpful staff
Shabby room. First thing I saw in room was chipped paint round lightswitch. Stained carpet. Was told business room would be brighter, with lighter decor. Blank dark wall facing the window. If that was a more light filled room, then the standard rooms must be dungeons! No slippers or bathrobe in business room as advertised. As upgrade had been sold to us at booking in, I didn't know we should have had them until back home. Pillows un-useable. Caught member of staff who was delivering firmer pillows to another room, so asked for the same.
Hotel is in a great location, bed rooms are a great size and pillows that you just fall into. Friends got upgraded to a business class room and that room was fab
Carpet in the corriders were a bit dated. Breakfast was very expensive so we didn't opt for that.
This hotel is in an excellent position for Edinburgh sightseeing, being on the Royal Mile and close to the castle, Princes Street, shops and restaurants. The hotel is a pleasure to stay at.
There was a lot of very late night/early morning noise from pubs and bars close by. Make sure you get a room on the other side of the hotel.
This hotel in an excellent location. The staff at reception were very helpful and friendly. Reception area inviting. But - after check- in time at 2pm and on exiting the lift to upper floor, we found trays outside room doors with un-eaten food drink etc ! Floor coverings/ carpets heavily stained and badly worn. Doors chipped, handles broken etc. This was a real disappointment. Front of house lovely - behind scenes not so good. They need to address this before we would stay again.
I picked this hotel for the location. Just a base for a short trip. Didn't use the facilities. Quiet room. Sleep very well
Carpets were tired and well worn. Overdue a clean or replacement. Pre payment was taken from my card even though they told me it would be taken upon arrival.
The staff could not have been more friendly/ helpfull. Location was perfect, so close to everything. Rooms were clean and tidy, provided for a great sleep.
We had dinner one night, I got the burger ehich was overcooked and tough, the misses had salmon which was decent
Hotel rooms looking a bit tired, price quoted was not including VAT. A clever ploy I thought, maybe I should have picked that up, but the booking was made on price and location. No bottled water in the room as per hotel guide. Corridors well worn stained carpet etc.
The staff were all very attentive, especially to the 'birthday girl' and it made her trip even more special for her.
friendly and helpful staff, great location clean and spaciouos room
