Radisson Blu Hotel, Birmingham  

The hotel if located within easy walk of New Street Station and close to the Chinese Quarter,Theaters and main shopping areas. It is a modern looking hotel with friendly and efficient staff.

Despite the high standard of the building, rooms are a little disappointing and showing signs of wear. In my room (1411) the television picture was poor and the remote control did not work, after reporting the faults the remote was exchanged for another that did not work and the picture quality remained poor. The carpet in was worn and stretched leaving uneven bulges on the floor. The bathroom was beautifully designed, however the lighting was very dim, perhaps deliberately to hide the mildew and lime scale around the taps and tiles.

Room was lovelly. Views were perfect. Staff was polite.

A member of the cleaning staff knocked on and cam into our room at 11.15am and check out wasnt until 12. We was disapointed with this as we was getting ready to leave. He just came in with out even waiting for a reply.

This hotel Is nearby bullring shopping mall.

I didn't like the room, it was clearly very old and not refurbished, I took first night a suite and second night a double room to see the difference, but really nothing different. Their carpet is old and dirty, the bathroom is also not clean and their towel had smell. Unfortunately, I booked this hotel in same day I was in Birmingham because I did not find other better hotel. That's my true opinion.

Central location and clean.

We ordered room service and the plates etc were still in our room when we returned 8 hours later! Our business class room was not cleaned until we left 24 hours after arrival. The room stated it comes with turn down service etc so i was surprised to see the plates had not been cleared, mini bar not restaocked and clean towels not supplied.

The bed was ultra comfy and the city views were great

Drinks at bar were over priced, carpet in room had stains all over it, bathroom smelt of sewage in room 713, on checkout we were being charged for our breakfast but had already paid when booking, receptionist argued with us till I showed her confirmation in my email showing breakfast was included.

Great value, good location, great staff

Only negative is quality of room service food - limited choice - would have been good to be able to have restaurant menu in room too.

Absolutely fantastic,hotel was wonderful,really clean and really friendly,staff were great,really helpful and the guys on the door were friendly and approachable,but what topped it off was the xfactor 2011 finalists were there so got to meet th which was nice and we had been to see thelive tour at the nec

Personal preference - beds were v v soft!

The views from the rooms were stunning. The staff exceptionally friendly and the service impeccible. THe fact that you did not have to book out until 12pm meant a wonderfully relaxing morning. For that alone, I would choose to stay at the radisson Blu again.

Staff great

No dressing table with mirror to sit down and put on make up with a decent light.. More women now travel on business and designers need to think about women's needs. HEATED ROLLERS, HAIR DRYERS THAT ARE NEAR THE DRESSING TABLE NOT SILL THINGS IN BATHROOMS THAT ARE UNMOVABLE TO SEE STYLIONG., STUCK ON WALLS.
