The view was fantastic at night and the breakfast buffet was great
The bed seemed to be 2 beds pushed together! And the food in the evening restaurant wasn't great
Room size was excellent, bed was like sleeping in a cloud - so comfy. Location was great for both theatres and a short walk for shopping.
For those ladies that need to get ready the lay out of the dressing table with no mirror, plug combination for hair dryer was a no go!
Lovely room, friendly Staff
Couldn't charge drinks purchased at the bar to the room. When purchased drinks after 11pm we couldn't pay cash but had to pay on card. Our room on the 17th floor, if there was a residents bar with the views across the City it would be amazing, particularly as the public bar was fairly small for a hotel of it's size.
The staff very polite
Very helpful staff, amazing breakfast and nice rooms with a great ciew
Location Views From High Floor Rooms
Price Of Alcohol In The Bar
Has a basic gym, familiarity, good nights sleep
rooms a little dated and tired, attention to detail (no complimentary water in room for example)
Nice styling, good beds, good breakfast.
Parking in adjacent parking center, personell did not communicate. Waited 10 mins at back door, had to go to front in the end.
Excellent location. Very comfortable room. Modern yet relaxing bar.
Very poor reception staff. Not very friendly. We were an interruption to their discussion with colleagues. Gave no information about the hotel. A real contrast to the cleaning staff who were polite, friendly and helpful.
The Theatres are within walking distance. The 5 minute radius from the New Street Station to other locations makes this an ideal Hotel for exploring the City centre on foot.
Everything apart from the smoking issue.
The room absolutely stank of tobacco, and at no time during the booking process did there seem to be any information to choose between smoking/non smoking, and nor was it mentioned or offered as a choice at check in.
Bar area and breakfast was lovely and not to far from town.
The car parking at £14 a car when I'd read £7! I would recommend stay here if your traveling on the train as parking is very expensive considering your paying for a room in the hotel.
Lovely room. Close proximity to New St Station.
Money taken from account 21 days after booking with no warning, £50 taken off card before arrival for extras with no warning, room quite tatty, dirty walls, wires on show, customer service poor, no direction to lift or offer of help with cases.
Accommodation £200+ a night to be put in a run down disabled room with corroded disabled equipment? The smell of the bathroom was terrible. I could attach pictures????? I confirmed a guest room with a bath.
The view was amazing being so high. Breakfast lovely. Lots of room.
Tv remote didn't work. Docking station didn't work which was very unfortunate as I wanted to play music as I proposed. Needs up dating.
EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. ASKED FOR EXTRA PILLOWS AND THEY WERE BROUGHT UP STRAIGHT AWAY. STAYED FOR BREAKFAST ONE MORNING. FOOD STANDARD WAS GOOD.
WOULD PREFER A FRESHLY COOKED BREAKFAST SERVRD TO THE TABLE FOR THIS PRICE. (£10.95 PP) A TOUCH EXPENSIVE FOR A BUFFET BREAKFAST. GOT A FULL ENGLISH WITH A DRINK, TOAST, TEA OR COFFEE ROUND THE CORNER AT WETHERSPOONS FOR HALF THE PRICE ON OUR SECOND MORNING.
Good size room, very helpful on reception, excellent rate for car parking, late check out, great view from 11th floor. Lovely restaurant area. Great value for £65 for the room. Perfect location for shopping & city centre. Would definitely stay again but room only.
Breakfast female staff uninterested in request for fresh eggs. Breakfast dire....got there 45mins from end...everything was unedible & dried out, but chef did make me an omelette, but spoilt it esp at £15@ bathrooms a little scruffy peeling paint/sealant bad lighting, discoloured tiles/grouting. But it was spotless, wasn't in room much so not an issue. Duvet covers were inside out on both beds...guess some1 had a bad day.
All of the stay was brill
Having to leave
the location was very central shopping and train services
leisure facility was small
attitude of the girl of behind the bar
Nice staff Comfortable bed Nice room apart from A/C
Breakfast Noisy A/C even when off
Reception desk, were amazing, very welcoming, polite and helpful. The bar and the cocktails tasted great, and the location was brillaint
Food, presentation of the food was good, however the for price of the food the taste and quality of food was poor, I expected a lot more due to the price, presentation and the "prestigious staute" of the hotel. I stay away from home a lot for work, and a good meal is what you need after a long day, this experience has left me with disappointment, I hope this is seen as constructive criticism rather than an attack on the establishment
The restaurant was ok
Reception staff was not enough and not friendly house keeping did not clean my room Ded cover was tired off bad smil in room 10th floor Your hotel is just a hopeless case
overall view of the main areas of the hotel were really nice and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. breakfast was lovley overall good continental english breakfast.
I was very let down by the room, the size was quite small and the facillites a bit of a let down. I was looking forward to the stay but wasn't even able to close the toilet door to go the loo. For the price I paid I was really disappointed.
