good views Excellent Staff - very helpful and friendly
Bathroom clean but tired double bed was two singles pushed together and not overally comfortable
Location was very good and views really good over city
Carpet was dirty with lots of stains, mini bar door would not shut. Smell of drains coming from bathroom.
The big windows and the view.Bed was nice and big.
Bathroom needs updating.Shower head broken. We stayed as a couple and no shower gel available-just one shampoo.Walls a bit black from damp I think as we had to open the bathroom door to get rid of the steam.
The location and parking is ideal, the accommodation clean and staff friendly. The breakfast was spectacular - fresh and varied - service in the morning was excellent - pre-book your breakfast on check in for a significant saving
The bed was little too soft for our liking - our previous stay included a firmer mattress -
The room was really nice and the staff were friendly to us.
We were staying the night with 2 other couples and 2 of our friends had a problem where the room was left with a wet mattress and I don't think the customer service they received was very fitting to the Radisson Blu brand.
Very friendly staff on reception Allowed in the room early Heated floor in the bathroom - and one of those clever mirror's which doesn't steam up in the middle Groovy lift music, so bad it was good. Yeah man
One tiny set of complementary toiletries between the two of us Tired looking bathroom with discolouration/staining in places Torn quilt cover No biscuits in room :-( Paper thin curtains with marks on which barely kept any light out No beer in the bar at all, not even Guinness, only lager Nothing THAT awful but definitely not worth £166 a night!
The door handle fell off the bathroom door There was only one bathroom towel between two of us The shower is impossible to work, and has no instructions The bathroom sink doesn't drain, and therefore leaves a disgusting mess. There is no extraction fan for the air in the bathroom, so a second person has to wait half an hour before they can use the bathroom The bar is unbelievably badly set out so that a few people take up all the seats, which means that if a party of 6 (say) arrives after 10 pm there is nowhere for them to sit, even though there are lots of seats spare. This isn't just frustrating for the customers, it is stupidly unprofitable for the hotel.
breakfast very good, with variety and taisty
The carpets ar old, even cleaned, seems darty The bathroom need an update, because are old, and seems not clean Not anymore the facilities for 4stars (slippers, refill of the napkins, tea bags, etc) In the restaurant they did not have toothpicks?!!
Very comfortable bed and pillows.
- Receptionists were not up to the expected standard; bad check-in process. No Wi-Fi service in our suite.
The location. Convenient for birmingham new street train station.
My room had numerous issues; it was freezing cold, even with the air con switched off, there was an awful stink coming from the drains in the bathroom and the tv didn't work.
On arrival at check in we were informed our room had been upgraded which was a lovely treat for my husband and I. The room was huge and had a fantastic view. Also it was very comfortable and clean. As a little extra birthday treat the staff had left a plate of mini cakes which made the stay even more special and memorable :-) Thank you, we will definitely be returning!
Excellent Buffet breakfast with good service by staff. Good location. Friendly and helpful staff throughout hotel
Room a little small and a bit tired
location & Wifi Available Throughout Staff On The Most Part Helpful
over Priced For Whats Available In Hotel Breakfast Not Included For £500+
No mini bar stock 2single beds pushed together for a double Bath plug did not work, bath emptied itself Poor service at breakfast, had to wait a long time for food, no condiments to serve, then handed dirty soon. Should have stayed in a premier inn and saved £60.00
Bar cocktails , breakfast
Lifts no reliable, lacks atmosphere
The Radisson Blu ended up being the perfect choice for my surprise weekend away for my boyfriend. The location was great as it was a very short walk from both the O2 academy and the bullring shopping centre. Breakfast was divine and the parking facility with discount was also very helpful so all in all the weekend was amazing
Great location! Great breakfast!
Bad smell in the room. Bathroom looked like a hospital-bathroom.
Pleasant guy on reception
Friendly staff, good sized room, good variety of food at breakfast
Bed was two singles bolted together so hard lump in middle. Toilet seat broken. Sink blocked. Door keys stopped working after 3hrs.
Bed was comfy, wifi was a bonus, views were lovely, restaurant staff were lovely, food was great, late check out was a welcome change.
On arrival the 'trainee' check in girl asked for my name, refusing my offer of my booking number. She checked me and my partner into 1 room with his 2 18yr old sisters! If she had taken the booking number she would have known I had reserved 2 rooms. Worryingly, she happily issued 3 keys for 4 people in 1 room!....Anway, checked into 2 room, took the lift to the 14th floor to find we have been issued a twin....back downstairs, see the same check in girl who re issues our room, this time on the 9th floor. Back in the lift, to find its another twin!.....Back downstairs to see another check in guy this time, who is lovely and re issues our room for a 3rd time on the 8th floor, which is a double! No apology, no offer of a free drink...nothing. Hair in the sink in the bathroom, no extractor fan, and shower pressure rubbish. Plug sockets under tables in far corner so had to go on all 4s to reach! no sockets by bed, both lamps in room broken and un use-able. £5 for a pint of coke!
Slow check in process, staff not attentive enough when there’s a queue of people waiting. Noisy in rooms
the bar is very expensive. £6.50 for 1 drink
Modern hotel, with good facilities and good comfort levels in the room.
Bar and restaurant are very expensive, rooms are also very expensive (compared to Holiday Inn for example). It would be helpful if for breakfast the staff showed you to your table, on a number of occasions i sat or was about to sit at a table which was already occupied. Also many tables were missing cutlery and condiments.
Excellent value for money. Great views of surrounding area. Close to o2 Academy (literally across the road) so ideal for a stop over if visiting for concerts.
