Fell in shower due to broken door collapsing into shower cubilce. Not offereda change of room even though shower door could not be fixed .Sustained severe bruising in six places and was documented by on-duty staff but hotel never apologised or offered to reduce price of stay. Many things not working properly eg airconditioning leaking and bathrooms small and unsafe as very slippery floors when wet and no handles in baths/ showers.
The hotel is in a good location. Walkable distance to most of the museums and theaters. The staffs are friendly.
Staff Location Breakfast
I was not awared of the size of the room for what I had paid. The deluxe room was not a standard size room as in most hotels. I felt being clamped in a tight room. Bathroom was the smallest that I ever had in any hotels. I did not feel comfortable in my room throughout the stay. Request for change was not possible, unless I pay extra to upgrade myself.
Location The comfort of the room
Large King size comfy bed, we were on the 6th floor so it was peaceful, little or no road noise. Breakfast was very good, we had breakfast in our room on the first morning and it was enormous, kept us going all day.
Lack of drawers to store clothes. Housekeeping knocking quite early to clean our room, that was until we found the 'Do Not Disturb' button.
Everything ok. For London's standards it's been a pleasant stay.
Poor wi-fi service. Despite the wi-fi service has been provided the quality of the connection was very poor, nearly unusable.
Location and stafff
Rooms are way to small plus heating cannot be modified in bathrooms because of piping hot towel holders.
Night manager and concierge on arrival evening were very helpful. Otherwise, the staff we had to deal with over the next two days, particularly after my fall in their broken shower, were unhelpful and incompetent.
Fell in shower due to problem with folding shower door which was broken when we checked in. Badly bruised but not offered a change of room and reduction in room rate either,as shower door could not be properly fixed after the accident as they did not have the parts available.Staff incompetent and clueless about handling the matter and no compassion. There are health and safety issues in this hotel, particularly in terms of their bathroom design ,reporting of defects and maintanence.Poor communication and training of staff in the event of a resident having an accident. No reply to my subsequent email to them about the matter and no formal apology for the defective shower room provided in our disappointingly tiny 'deluxe King bedroom' or the manner in which I was treated.
Everything, nothing to dislike. As it was my Daughters birthday we were upgraded, a lovely surprise. Staff just brilliant nothing was to much trouble.. We felt very comfortable, Will go there again.
groundfloor,staff and breakfast were faultless
We were told that we were upgraded! I dread to think how small our original room was!! |The bathroom was small to the point of dangerous, and getting into the shower without burning on the towel rail or slipping ,required contortion. The bed was comfortable ,but the room was small to be in the higher ,mid- price range
Staff excellent, very helpful and friendly
Tiny room and even smaller bathroom !! If you like space and quiet then this is not the hotel for you . Even high floors get lots of traffic noise. Breakfast very average for the price .
Staff, from checking desk to restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful.
I was a solo person, taking the deluxe single room (which mean the bed could not accomodate two persons). Although the room was small, I do not considered it as tiny, the size was a of a regular teenage room size, with a small closet, big desk with all kinds of outlets including iphone docking station. I slept in room 201 which looks like it was recently refurbished and if not its condition was superb. TV included lots of channels and WI-FI reception was great. The air-condition kept the room cool at all times (although I don't know how it is in the hot summer days or cold winer days). The Staff was nice and friendly and the breakfast was indeed a full english breakfast. Location was right in the center - Tottenham Court road/Oxsford near a tube station and lots of busses stations too. I definately reccomend this place.
Given the location and the fact it's a 4 stars hotel I can't really complain about the price I paid about $300 per night for 8 nights, although I'm unfamiliar with other 4 stars hotels in that area. Although I had closet to hang my shirts and pants, I had to leave my suitcast open in the middle of the room. unfortunately I coudn't use the mini bar as fridge. But the concierge allowed me to keep the stuff that needed refrigerator in their own one.
Location Location Location!
Constant drone of air con or vent unit from rear or adjacent property.
+ very friendly staff, everyone said hello and was smiling. I was asked on numerous occasions if there was anything anyone could do for me. + comfy bed, lots of pillows. + decent WiFi. + walking distance to a plethora of dining and entertainment options.
+ the room fan was a little noisy, so if you want to leave that on while you sleep bring earplugs. Thats a pretty picky point though, and I only leave it because of the 200 character minimum review.
Close to covent garden & Leicester square both within walking distance. Tottenham court tube station close by.
Room very small & a very small double bed. The room smelt of stale cigarette smoke.
The prices Vs the Location and comfort
staff, location, the bed
N/A all good
Lovely clean room. Close to British museum and West End. Safe in the room. Bathroom great.
Mini bar locked had to be opened by reception, couldn't put in own drinks or treats. No ice machine. Room a little small. Couldn't have the window blind up as room faced inwards and you could see into everyone's room and they could see into yours. Should consider having net curtains for privacy. Booked this hotel after travelling for a number of weeks needed a little luxury although room was very nice and I would recommend it I would not consider my experience on this visit four star.
Impeccable service. Close to everything. great restaurant.
Fantastic location, staff we're great, great choice at breakfast
Bath was leaking
Arrived at the hotel greeted by helpful and professional staff. We stayed in an executive room and had little extras which made it special. Beds were comfy and had a restful sleep after pounding the busy streets of London. Good transport links into other areas but close enough to walk to central places too,
Liked everything but cost of breakfast is a little high.
Location, breakfast, friendly staff
Ridiculously small sink in the bathroom. The bathroom itself was the smallest I've ever seen in my life.
Location was perfect Plenty to do around the vicinity Easy access to tube station
More choice in bt channels as slne did not work
