Concierge staff were excellent. Very knowledgeable, very helpful and friendly. Very professional. Not being allowed to check in at 1:50pm because "official check in time is after 2pm". Miraculously at 2pm everything became "possible" and we were then allowed to check in. We had arrived with 2 young children at 7:30 am after a 13 hour flight. We tried our best to keep them distracted despite nothing being open at that time of day and a chilly and wet winter day precluding outdoor activities. So a little bit of flexibility by reception would have been helpful.

I can't believe this motel is rated 5 star! It did'nt even have bedside reading lamps in the rooms! The bathroom floor flooded when the shower was used, and the TV's in the bedrooms are old square non digital ones without freeview!!! This place would have been 5 star about 10 years ago, but not now in 2011. What a joke! Premier inn is heaps better than this and it's quater of the price!!!!

I came to stay at the Raddisson Manchester for my Birthday weekend 5th to 7th May, my daughter lives in Manchester , so it was a weekend spent with her too. We were greeted on arrival in by a valet who whisked our bags from the boot, and looked after the car until we had checked in, and were safely in our room, before he told us where we could park, long stay he was so very helpful, and we did not feel rushed at all. Check in was fast, I was asked if it was a special occassion, and I said it was my B'Day on the Monday. Whilst in the room, settleing in I was brought a slate with cocs and Happy Birthday message, which was a lovely touch. Room had magnificent views, food was delicious, all staff were helpful and friendly. The location was perfect, we walked everwhere, shops, dinners out and theartre, brilliant !! I could not fault this Hotel, and want to go back for another weekend away, Just have to save up ! I am not sure that I have any negative comments to make, our stay was perfect, relaxing, wonderful.

Generally a very nice hotel, staff very efficient.Had a very enjoyable meal in restaurant. Bar very small we were unable to get a seat on Friday or Saturday night. Bedside lights for reading would be nice, instead of the very bright spotlights.

Spa facilities. Breakfast. Bathroom in deluxe king room. Hotel reception staff very helpful. Restaurant. View from windows. Deluxe twin room a bit of a let down, no lock on bathroom door, I think room was designed for disabled guests, which was not requested or required by us. Would like to have been able to open a window during night.

We as a young married couple enjoyed the location of the hotel and its occasional 5 star service. The staff that greet you in reception and lobby are very pleasant and helpful. We felt that the staff in both the restaurant and bar were extremely unfriendly. On one occasion last Sunday after ordering lunch in OpusOne we spent over an hour waiting on it to be served. The whole process from being seated, to being handed menus, to being served and waiting for the bill was just too slow. The bar staff in Alto were appalling given their manner and made us feel really unwelcome. The whole experience did not come close to 5-Star service we hoped for.

Hotel cleanliness, efficiency of all staff, helpful and friendly without being too overly familiar. The food and service were excellent especially in the Opus restuarant. The lobby had a beautiful smell, meant to ask what it was but forgot requested a walk in shower which was exactly what we got but the wash basin was in the separate dressing room area. There was a wedding party on one of the nights we were there and they were quite noisy until quite late. Our room was overlooking the side entrance which is where most of the youngsters had congregated. Not really the fault of the hotel but if I do stay there again I would request a room on a higher floor not overlooking any of the entrances. There was no beside lights only spot lights on the ceiling which were a little stark. The TV was a huge old one (very good make Bang & Olufson) but the screen was very small. The light in the dressing room area was not bright enough to be able to put my make up on there I had to sit by the window.

I didnt like the £75 deposit I had to pay in case I used the mini bar or bar in the hotel. I was also not told that it would take 48 hours for this money to be put back in my account after checkout. I complained about this and I am still waiting for a manager to ring me back like they said they would last thursday.

absolutely worth every penny, from the valet parking , to the room on the 12th floor, lovely views, although all rooms are no smoking the first room we went to smelt of cigarettes, we phoned the desk and we were in another room within 5 minutes, I asked for Ice at the desk when we were booking in and it was in the room before we were. had a meal in the main restaurant and it was beautiful. Couldn't fault a thing. Very impressed.
