Radisson Blu Portman Hotel

I enjoyed the proximity of the hotel to shopping and bus access. Security to rooms was good. Ambiance in lobby was nice. Shower in washroom had good water pressure/hot water. Good WiFi reception in room.

Service in the restaurant during dinner was poor. Food was missing from orders, and steaks were luke warm/cool to the touch. One evening we sat in the lobby for over an hour and never received cocktail/food service.

it was our pearl wedding anniversary and although we hoped to be upgraded as we had our daughters wedding at the dublin radisson last year we were sent up a bottle of wine which was nice

found the bar staff at night a bit wary as i was asked if i was staying at the hotel and dont think they believed me for some reason and i found it a bit uncomfortable

Excellent location. Clean.

Unfriendly staff. I was asked for a pre auth on my credit card when checking in which is normal everywhere, but then I was asked for an extra £50 per day on top, "just in case" I happend to use anything or order room service. When I queried this I was told I didn't have to leave a deposit up front but then I couldn't charge anything to my room or use room service. What a cheek. I don't pay for my meal before I eat it in a restaurant, why should I be expected to at a 4 star hotel? I have stayed in 12 hotels this year and this room was by far the smallest. On checking out member of staff barely said two words to me.

To be honest nothing stands out

Bedroom was too small. Very difficult to open suitcase Really a single room Bathroom tiny could not have two people in there at the same time

Its proximity to a multitude of very large stores and also the more exclusive fashion outlets.The location of the ncp car park underneath the hotel and its direct link to the hotel is ideal.

My wife and I found the reception area, lounge and bar to be too cold to relax and enjoy the experience of just sitting and chatting.

Rather poor service. Called for help, and it never came. Plus I was overcharged for the last night b/c I had mistakenly booked only 6 days

Location. Ideal for getting around London.

Business Room booked, but very small and therefore expensive for a two night stay.

Clean Rooms, kind staff, Excellent location, free int. service.

Location: could walk to Oxford Street and taxi easily to and from train stations.

We had stayed there in the 80's and I felt the hallways needed redoing.

The hotel room was very comfortable, especially with the air conditioning unit as you could not open the windows! The shower in the bathroom was excellent, very powerful and remained hot even though 3 females had fairly long showers in short succession - better than my shower at home! Generally the hotel was lovely and the staff very attentive.

The only bad thing about the room was that the extracter fan in the bathroom did not work. And unfortunately when we were sitting in the bar we noticed a mouse run out from the kitchen area and round into another room out the back of the bar. We immediately went and told a member of staff who did not appear shocked at all, which concerned us even more. He said words to the effects of we are dealing with them?! Therefore the staff clearly knew about the mice but people were still being served food? This whole situation made us feel very unconfortable, surely if you are 'dealing' with a situation of mice, which i'm sure are a regular problem in London, you would take steps to contain the area? Unfortunately left us with a bad feeling.
