- old English pub charm - proprietor Mike was pleasant
- traffic on main road right next to hotel was an issue while sleeping. This traffic also made it difficult leaving the car park during peak times (however, road works in town may assist with this in the future?)
Great one night stay. very convenient for Bath - used the Park and Ride so hassle free. Much better value than city centre accommodation. Great staff. Will stay again when in the area.
Location, cost and then the food and ale were all really good value, couldn't fault the place or the people.
Helpful staff for a very beautiful hotel. Bath and Frome are not so far.
the area of radstock and surrounding areas are good, staff friendly
very noisy at night with passing traffic, needs double glazing at least in rooms. Rooms very tired and dirty in places
Lovely pub with a great feel, excellent food. I wasn't expecting the room to be as lovely as it was.
A few odd jobs need doing in the room, but nothing too serious to spoil my stay.
Easy to find the Hotel. Good breakfast. Good shower, but nowhere to put soap and shampoo.
Poor service ethic of the female staff members, who were unfriendly. Plumbing system needs renovation to eliminate the loud noise when any guests in our and other rooms use the cold water tap at the sink.
Stayed in room1 which has a king size four poster bed. Great sized room, very comfortable bed. Had clean linen & complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities & wall mounted TV. Breakfast was absolutely superb.
Room had damp on the walls, the bath panel was broken and crudely repaired with sellotape. The hotel looked very tired and in need of some tlc. Although the hotel was central to the places we were visiting, Radstock itself had nothing to offer.
Very friendly helpful staff our evening meal in the bar was lovely and good portions for two teenage boys the rooms are very clean and with character. We all enjoyed our stay
Hotel right on the main busy road and not doubled glazed so if your a light sleeper be ware the lorries sound as if their in the room with you
Friendly hosts, quiet in rear large room with 4-poster bed. Very good breakfast.
Rooms at front have rather noisy road, No evening meals on Sundays, but take-aways close by, for which hotel staff provide plates and cutlery. General decorative state needs attention.
Nice couple who run it and pleasant dinner and beer
Traffic noise from adjacent road
The location was good, less than a 20 minute drive to park&ride in Bath. Full English breakfast included as well as fruit and cereals. Friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean, it was hot but there was a fan that did the job really good.
The room was decorated to an excellent standard and equipped with an attention to detail. The breakfast was first class.
Really liked the room. The four poster was massive and very comfortable.
Could do will longer meal times
Working Portable Fan in room
Rooms are big. The breakfast was lovely.
No dinner at hotel. Out the back of no were. The cafés, Restuarants etc closed only 1 takeaway shop open. Luck the food was not that bad.
Handy location. Good food. Good facilities. Very friendly accommodating staff.
Room at front a bit noisy on main road
Picturesque location, well stocked room, in a classic British B&B/Inn tradition, helpful staff
bathroom fittings a bit dated
This hotel honored a mistake in pricing - I Paid £9 for a room dispite it being £59 per night. They didnt argue and it was no problem for them. Bargain of the century!! Very friendly, clean, all you would expect!
Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast and the food the evening before was good value.
The heat - but not the fault of the hotel!
Pleasant family atmosphere.
A bit noisy - located on a busy street. Decor a bit old and jaded.
Well decorated, clean single room on top floor. Everyone really friendly and helpful...special thanks to Julie.
Only traffic noise..had to have windows open due to very hot night. This was unavoidable.
Staff were nice and quite helpful and the room was nice and clean. Breakfast was good.
Hairdryer did not work and no replacement. The weather was exceptionally hot but the bedroom window would not stay open and had to be propped up with a piece of wood.
Friendly staff Great food at breakfast and in the pub Great value for money - hotel Great value for money - pub food Fantastic location as a base for the surrounding historic sites
We stayed in the twin room it was very spacious with a comfortable bed and a good shower in the ensuite. Breakfast was great as was the bar meal we had in the evening, it was huge!
