We were very impressed with the size of the room & the four poster bed! A large en-suite bathroom. We ate at the hotel and the food was also excellent and very good value for money. Overall for a late booking at a reduced price we could not have chosen better. The hotel bar is very much a locals haunt but the atmosphere was very friendly.

I liked the close proximity to Bath City Centre, and also relations who live in Radstock. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the food excellent. There was only one gripe which was the terrible noise of the traffic from the floor our rooms were situated on. Apparently, upstairs there was dble/glzng so kept the noise out.

very friendly ,easy to locate ,excellent rooms with good modern furniture and modern bathroom. would go again if i need to be in that area. couldn't find out how to get the hot water from the shower so didn't use it but assured it was working ....I just hadn't got the hang of it but when about to get in can hardly go downstairs to ask being undressed.

Convenient and accessable. Though it is close to the road, it is not as noisy as initially thought. Top floor decor good standard. Breakfast is good. 1St floor could be brightened up and kitchen carpet looks needs cleaning. Not easy finding using satnav as there is no such place called market place to choose.

Very happy with the size of room. Not only did it have a very comfortable four poster king size bed but also a sofa bed, two small round tables, a good size chest of drawers and a walk in area for hanging clothes. With all this, it still had enough space to easily move round the room. Also found a travel cot which thought about using but instead left my twins in their carrycots. Breakfast was a selection of cereals and a 'pick 'n' mix' english breakfast which was well cooked and very tasty - good for starting the day. Although we should have checked out before 9:30, staff were relaxed about this and we left at 11am. When we met our friends the evening before, staff were happy for us to have our children in the bar. Speaking of the bar, we didn't notice any noise from people drinking or at closing time. Would stay at again as it is very close to where our friends live and, in my opinion, good value @ £70 per night. Although it didn't bother us, the pub/hotel is on the main road towards Bath and can be busy which equates to some noise. Also, the decor may not to be to everyones taste but, again, not something that bothered us.

The room was well decorated and very clean. A good size room for a single and lovely ensuite. Staff were friendly and were always there to help. The hotel is on a busy, noisy main road although the traffic noise is ok with the window shut. I would have liked to have had the window open more as the room did get a bit stuffy but the noise prevented it. A fan would have been useful.

I only stayed two nights, just visiting relations in the area. I only met two of the staff and found them very helpful. The room I had was very comfortable, the bed a bit hard for my likeing but otherwise very happy. Breakfast was good. I arrived on a Thursday and left Saturday morning, I was told breakfast was 7am to 9am, didn't realise breakfast was at 8am on weekends. I would recommend the hotel to friends. It would have been nice if I had been informed ref breakfast times for weekends.

The very riendly and personal nature of the service. Very clean and comfortable room, refitted bathroom & redecorated. Food was very good, had breakfast and evening meals which was of a very high standard. Room was on the small side, no room for any chairs so had to sit on the bed. Also walls were rather thin could hear loud television from next bedroom.

Friendly reception and service. Warm (even in the artic weekend in February). Responsive temperature control - appreciated. Good breakfast. Reasonable rates. No chairs except dressing table stool. Not enough space to move about the room. ( a smaller double bed would help.)

Ideally situated for my purpose, would also suit those travelling to the Bath area whether on business or pleasure. Property has been tastefully renovated to suit the building, a warm welcoming hotel.
