The rooms were recently renovated and were comfortable. The rooms were on the second floor and getting up the stairs was a hike. The breakfast was adequate but lacked the additional items that one would normally get E.G. hash browns, black pudding etc. We had lunch in the bar and the food was very salty and the vegetables boiled but tasteless. The building has potential but is let down by the featureless decor .

Clean, comfortable room. Reasonably priced good food. Friendly, efficient staff. Traffic noise - first floor rooms would be transformed by double glazing. The hotel is rather shabby and would benefit from some refurbishment.

Pleasant staff, nice room, nice breakfast. Location did not offer much - would need to travel to Bath for shopping/restaurants. However, Hotel was close enough to Bath (15mins) to make this possible. Accommodation in Bath for equivalent room would have been considerably more.

Staff were incredibly helpful, polite and would bend over backwards to help us. The location was ideal for the Colliers Way cycle path. We started in Frome and stayed the night in Radstock before making our way to bath the next day. ideal. Not a lot to do in the town at night.

Friendly reception and service. Warm (even in the artic weekend in February). Responsive temperature control - appreciated. Good breakfast. Reasonable rates. No chairs except dressing table stool. Not enough space to move about the room. ( a smaller double bed would help.)

Ideally situated for my purpose, would also suit those travelling to the Bath area whether on business or pleasure. Property has been tastefully renovated to suit the building, a warm welcoming hotel.

Right from the start of my stay I was struck by the friendliness allied to the efficiency of the staff. It has a "local" air about it rather than any pretensions to an hotel of "style". This suits me. Room was comfortable and adequate. Honest genuine food well cooked.and good value for money. I would very happily return there if in the district again

The breakfast was ok. The size of the room was good & plenty big enough for a family of 4. The Room was not clean there were cobwebs, dust, flies. Lights were not working, the paint was peeling from the ceiling & door knobs were hanging off. When we phoned the hotel about putting an extra bed in the room the staff member was unhelpful. We ended up booking & paying for 2 rooms when we only needed one.
