The double room was lovely and had all the facilities needed. Found the stay to be so relaxing and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. Stayed 28th January 2015
*Excellent facilities *Comfy room *Friendly staff
*Little or no wifi access in the morning (assume because there are too many people using it) *Building/maintenance work occurring that sounded like it was in all rooms surrounding the room I was in. I was not informed of this upon arrival. *Upon checkout, workmen moving through the hotel foyer.
This was a gift for my sister who had just got married. Taqi was the staff who made it wounderful. Was given a Free upgrade amazing suit.
The female on reception was bland and unfriendly. Despite my sister wearing a wedding dress did not even smile or congratulate her. Very off putting. The terrace on 17th has no decor thought would have benefit chairs, outdoor heater etc
Breakfast was awful and room shapes and sizes are really odd.
The hotel room was lovely, clean and spacious. The staff were helpful and friendly.
On the Sunday morning, after a late night out in London for a staff party, we were woken very early by the cleaners in the next room making a lot of noise. I get that rooms need cleaning, but could they attempt to be more considerate on a Sunday morning
the room was very comfortable and the room was spacious.Great stay would stay again.
the location of the room was on the main road.It was a very busy road all night. No toiletries to take away, and the shuttle service to clapham junction was a bit hit and miss .
Our room was huge with a separate study area. Plenty of tea, good quality furnishings and a bathroom as big as my lounge at home. Multi spray shower, bath with tv, toiletries, robe, slippers. Everything is good quality and just lovely. It was our second visit and they upgraded us and put faux rose petals on our bed. Nice touch as it was a special occasion. Love this hotel!
Restaurant has a great view, lovely intimate bar and delicious cocktails. Menu very varied but frankly, I'm not impressed with the food. I've eaten there twice and both times were disappointing. But - it saves walking out in the cold wind and rain somewhere else and they do give 50% off so not a deal breaker for us. And the bedroom made up for the taste of the food.
Clean and nice rooms
Had to wait for everything. 2 hours+ for room service.
Room deluxe double was spacious, well laid out and the bed was very comfy. The shower was fantastic. I enjoyed the breakfast, only had continental but the range on offer of items was superb and fresh fruit etc was delicious. Restaurant evening meal was fantastic, starters and main meal were delicious and if you are a guest and order 2 courses you get 50% off the food bill making the price good value for money. Staff were polite and friendly.
Minor things. Wifi on phone I had to log in all the time (s4) as it kept saying low speed and disconnecting. treadmill screens for tv were all over the place malfunctioning (used the facilities every evening). Wouldn't let any of this spoil my overall stay. This is an excellent hotel.
secure underground parking, and comfy bed.
room was so cold we had to get into bed fully clothed, even after calling downstairs to do something, it was unbearable and checked out early next day. heli pad next door was noisy, air con was loud enough to interrupt sleep. food was substandard pub grub, microwaved to oblivion and overpriced.
We needed to be close to the Royal Academy of Dance for the weekend as our son had a weekend course there. It was less than a minutes drive away so perfect on that front. We were "upgraded" to an apartment which was very spacious and had fantastic views over the river. We didn't use the spa or any if the hotel facilities at all so can't comment
They didn't tell us when they "upgraded" us to an apartment that it was a separate building, and was obviously only part owned (or rented) by the hotel. The apartment felt completely soulless and cut off.
The building we stayed in was really nosey
The room was amazing the best hotel room Iv stayed in. The view was beautiful had an amazing time would deffintaly recommend and would deffintaly return.
The atmosphere was serene and very welcoming
Not been able access WiFi
The facilities, the staff and the design of the Rafayel were exceptional.
The hotel and the room were lovely, and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was unbelievable.
The Fish & Chips offering was the only good thing on the menu. Breakfast, Club Sandwiches, Lamb & Steak were bad! And for the price, the food at least, should be good!! They charge extra for car parking and then don't park your car!!!
Lack of service and bad food!! No service via phone, 24 hours, and when service did arrive, often things were missing, so my food would get cold while waiting for utensils, both in the restaurant and room! Kept we will park your car, and then never park it, even though I had to pay extra!!!
Polite staff members
We were promised in advance an early check in time as we were due to arrive early. That wasn't fulfilled. Then the room we were given was extremely small and dark. Not worth the money at all! I may as well have booked a single room. However, the worst thing was It was extremely loud! We could hear the cleaners from the room next to us hoovering and talking, the helicopters around the hotel. Anyone that was speaking in the corridor was as if they were conversating in our bedroom. That's how poorly the insulation of the room was. No privacy what so ever! Definitely would not recommend and will not be staying there again. Nothing like any other five star hotel I've been to
Size of the room and bathroom
It's location is difficult for underground. The lighting in the room is poor.
Staff was very nice and helpful, bar was brilliant and and nice room, would highly recommend
Good location. Very helpful staff
Breakfast was poor value
Room very modern and clean, staff very helpful
lighting in the room was very poor, difficult to put make up on (i used the torch from my phone!) No one had any mobile network in the building, but full bars outside.
That the shower didn't got warm And someone had to come. That the shuttle didn't come in time. That the fan of the heatingsystem can't be swiched of And makes a lot of noise!
I have stayed at this hotel many times and cannot fault it.Very good hotel and great value
Rooms were tired and not very clean. Complained about the room and got an apartment instead. Still not very clean and needed maintenance. Too far from Central London would not recommend
