Good location. Very helpful staff
Breakfast was poor value
Room very modern and clean, staff very helpful
lighting in the room was very poor, difficult to put make up on (i used the torch from my phone!) No one had any mobile network in the building, but full bars outside.
That the shower didn't got warm And someone had to come. That the shuttle didn't come in time. That the fan of the heatingsystem can't be swiched of And makes a lot of noise!
I have stayed at this hotel many times and cannot fault it.Very good hotel and great value
Rooms were tired and not very clean. Complained about the room and got an apartment instead. Still not very clean and needed maintenance. Too far from Central London would not recommend
Liked the size of the room and style of furnishings. Friendly and very helpful staff. Wouldn't hesitate in staying here again.
Couldn't get the air conditioning to run on a lower setting, so it was a bit noisy.
Beautiful rooms with beautiful views on Thames river, amazing bathrooms and awsome sound system!! The staff were excellent (Taqi massive thanks to you for everything you are a great person !!) everyone was very friendly from check in to waiters. I throughly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return!
Loved our room and view and I had mentioned when booking that it was my partners birthday and when we got into our room the hotel had left a birthday card and chocolates which was a nice touch!
Shower was a bit tricky to work and tv in the bathroom had no channels.
Room was good size and well appointed
No mobile phone signal - and wifi patchy Could do with sky
View and apartment facilities
Cleanliness average Staff a bit hit and miss though polite.
Room and facilities were spotless and we had lovely Neom products to use in the bathroom. Restaurant was lovely as was the food. Staff were attentive and also run a courtesy car to Clapham junction tube for residents. Very little traffic noise which I was pleased about as I hate the constant noise at night in central London so for me this was perfect. Parking available on sight. Overall good value for money and I would definitely return.
Dead flowers in reception and my only other issue was the lighting in the room. It is too low and you really need the option of brighter lights especially from a ladies point of view when trying to apply make up!
Clean large rooms Lovely bathrooms Great staff
Mobile phone signals really bad on all 3 networks we had with us, Lighting in the rooms was impossible for putting on make up
Noisy room over a noisy bar. I was staying here for 1 night on business and needed sleep. I asked for a quiet room and got one over the bar, The room itself had noisy air conditioning that wouldn't turn off and buzzed away. Will not stay here again!
The comfort of the room considering it was standard double .
I found that staff were very patronizing and suspicious towards myself and partner as we were fairly young and of a black race. I will not come back due to poor customer service and discrimination. I am a regular customer of hotel verta where we are treated with respect. I will not be returning to rafayel again. P.s the aircon is rubbish and no network coverage in the rooms by the car park even with wifi signal was not strong enough.
noisy aircon but could turn it off. no availability at spa
Good hotel in great location for battersea & Clapham. We were upgraded free of charge to a 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the river which was amazing! All rooms had what we required & the ensuite bathrooms were of a high standard.
The beds were a little uncomfortable & the room service could have been a bit more upmarket in its presentation. We were told our spa treatment was cancelled by reception due to staff sickness & then the spa called us at our allotted time to ask why we had not attended at the correct time?! The hotel purport to offer a complimentary shuttle service, but both times we asked to be taken to Clapham common we were told it could not be accommodated due to roadworks (which had finished?!)
It was nice that the second visit was as good as the first.
- Great, helpful generous staff - Beautiful hotel and stylishly decorated. - Very accommodating, our room was upgraded to a river view room at no extra cost. - Our room was presented with rose petals on the bed and we received a couple of chocolates and card from the hotel to mark our anniversary - a very nice touch - Our spa treatment was lovely, and relaxing. We had the exotic body wrap and back massage. - at the end of our stay we were driven back to the train station by a mini cab provided by the hotel. - Hotel Rafayel catered to all our needs and ensured that we were well looked after.
- Spa treatments are a little overpriced - BUT the hotel is good value for money - The spa facilities (sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and pool) are all very small. But luckily my husband and I were able to use the facilities before it got too crowded.
Very clean Friendly staff Good location
Shuttle service to Clapham station. Size of room. Spacious. When complained about room I was shown others available.
Hotel and room looked shabby being only 4 yrs old. Laundry room doors open.... Our view from room. Dirty marks on lamp shades, walls etc. Carpet join lifted. No bathroom extras such as shoe shine, nail file small bottles of cream, shampoo etc. Just 2 bottles on shower wall. Even Ibis and such low star hotels offer this. No biscuits and bottles if water with which again can be found at many lower star hotels. Shown other rooms.. 1 had foisty smell, 1 much smaller and 1 did not smell nice either. Bit too far out for many London restaurants and bars, so spent quite a lot of travel.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, they even gave us a free room upgrade and had a card and chocolates waiting in the room for us as it was my partners birthday. The food is lovely and you get 50% off at the restaurant if you are staying in the hotel. They also offer a free shuttle service to and from Clapham if you wanted a night out there or just wanted to get the train from there into central London, I couldn't ask for more from this hotel.
The location is ideal for us it also has secure parking and good facilities available....that we couldn't take full advantage of .....just didn't have time!
Warm welcome, superb service, amazing views, delicious food and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it.
The room was beautiful with loads of space. Bed very comfortable, and the bathroom was amazing.
The room wasn't as clean as you would expect for a 5* hotel, dust in places that it shouldn't be. And a light in the bathroom was blown. For a 5* you expect these things to be sorted before going into the room.
We arrived at the entrance where lots of construction works were being carried out. Got shown to our room via dark dingy corridors. The room was level with where the building work was being carried out. There was floor to ceiling windows which meant the curtains had to be pulled at all times as I was face to face with builders! The use of English Language by staff was poor, eventually I decided to ask for a refund. The manager was a little disgruntled but agreed, as my overall stay was limited to approx half an hour! Never Again!!!!
