Score from 5 reviews Wonderful
The location is good and there is onsite parking.
The place is looking a bit tired. It could do with a refurbishment.
The staff were very helpful, the pub had a friendly atmosphere, and I had a delicious meal in the bar. The following morning, after breakfast the duty waiter kindly opened the door so I could access the pub toilets, rather than having to go upstairs, which is painful for me. I was pleased to find that, although my room was only a staircase away from the pub, there was no noise and I slept well.
Everything was sound , no frills but great value for money in the South East of England !
Hotel well situated for town center. Breakfast was lovely. Bed very comfortable.
Room was noisy as on a main road. Needed updating. Shower did not work, unable to get hot water.
Was ok other than noise for a night
WiFi wouldn't work the tv didn't work properly think they had a jazz player in in pub till around half 10 very loud
Good location in centre of Faversham with free parking. Clean accommodation and welcoming staff.
Breakfast not included. Bedroom and bathroom decor tired and outdated. Definitely time for a facelift.
Friendly staff. Clean quilts, pillows and bedding. We had a spacious room and bathroom (room 3) .Parking not a problem. Is opposite the rail station, just a minute walk to town with lots of cafes and independent shops. Plentiful supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. Good quality shower gel, liquid soap and body lotion provided. Hair dryer, iron and disposable razors available on request.
Furniture was tired
room was nice .
After asking for a wake up call I did not get it . jumped out of bed in a rush and soooooooo glad I made my flight come on people WAKE UP !!!!!!!!
Lovely staff. Very welcoming. Excellent cooked breakfast.
Noisy at night. It was quite warm weather so we needed the window open during the night. The noise in the street kept us awake until the early hours.
The extremely handy location opposite the railway station was most appreciated. The stay was incredibly good value for £39 when I booked, the bed most acceptable, the shower very good, bathroom a good size, the room and premises as a whole very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. I'm recommending this place to everyone I know who wants to visit Kent, it's incredibly handy and I WILL be returning on my next visit to Kent!
The TV didn't work on my visit, although I might have accidentally unplugged it to be fair.
Location to town centre Comfortable bed Friendly staff
Very dated rooms that need sprucing up. Price - Considering the bedroom decor, and the fact that the room rate was for room only, this did not represent good value, and should have included breakfast. Went for a walk in the town before checking out. Came back to find our bedroom door wide open, with all of our property on full display, and the cleaner unaware of our presence in the room until we called out several times and she emerged from the toilet / shower room. A totally unacceptable attitude to the safety of customer belongings.
Great beer, great staff, English country breakfast, pub life. Visit the Shepherdstown-Name brewery.
Bedroom floor was slanted next to the outside wall.
Very friendly and well appointed.
Room rates seemed rather high in relation to the quality of the establishment
Very convenient for the station and work. Food was good. The room had coffee tea etc and generally ok
The rooms showing signs of age and a bit shabby.
Breakfast (which was paid for as extra.)
The bedroom measured 8 ft by 6 ft with no room for dressing table or even a chair. There were 2 entry doors which hit each other.
size of room and bed comfort
the noise outside going on late into the night both from vehicles and people
Excellent Accomodation, had a comfortable and happy stay
Two of our friends had to find alternative accommodation because they had not been checked in,
Good location as it was close to things.
Traffic noise at night was a problem.
The staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for us, helped us with directions to various places and walks. the breakfast was great too, cooked to perfection.
Just in front of the train station, a perfect location for casual travelling to Faversham either business or leisure. Friendly and polite staff
Bed was too soft.
Knowledgeable, friendly & helpful landlord supported by equally able staff.Good atmosphere in the bar which retained much of it's period features. Ideal location (short walk to town centre) with car parking available. Good selection of food available using locally sourced produce.
Wi-Fi reception a bit hit & miss in the Railway Hotel but 'phone reception in Faversham generally seemed poor for the 2 days that we were there.
Excellent beer - maybe due to brewery a few hundred metres away! Friendly staff and locals. Easy, free parking. Location in town and close to station.
Wi-Fi sometimes a bit iffy.
Not recently refurbished but it has its charm, staff was very nice and helpful, breakfast excellent and worth the extra cost.
Room was tiny but had all I needed.
Very convenient for places to eat and drink
The room was very small
