Did not like anything very poor Nohel just plain simple boring
the bed in 229 was really comfy. the burlesque entertainment was brilliant, definitely going again.
the hot breakfast was less than perfect, the sausages were cheap and fatty tasting, the eggs were so dry they had gone hard.
How close it was to the beach
The room decore the breakfast Abd pool not open
Me and my partner like there thing
there was nothing we didn't like
Pool was closed!!! Children are not considered with any entertainment!!
Liked the hotel staff was nice and hotel had a good feel about it
Packing was a bit chaos as everyone seemed to turn up together and limited spaces
This hotel was not plush and there are plenty of steps & stairs to negotiate BUT it's in keeping with the building.Food was great plenty of it and good choices. The hotel seems to work at keeping staff employed all year which is great to see/hear.Entertainment excellent especially Graeme Dee.
The swimming pool was closed & empty. Roger the manager offered to refund cost of Rivera Pool but you have to be fully dressed for winter to get to it and be out in elements.Seemed like a bit of discord among some staff and not good to hear it.A manager needs to take control not tell clients that staff only paid for limited hours so they have to finish within certain time.Despite this would I go back again. Yes it's value for money.
Breakfast started too late for me. I needed to be at work by 8:00am
The bed was not comfortable and was very soft in the middle. I was looking forward to using the swimming pool but was told that it was closed due to maintenance - this was after booking.
Excellent value for money. Not the most plush but clean, tidy friendly and excellent facilities. Evening entertainment a nice bonus.
Very large premises and our groups rooms were a long way apart
Friendly staff and great entertainment.
NICE ENTERTAINMENT LOUNGE.STAFF DID THEIR BEST,.
ROOM-VERY POOR RUSTY BATHROOM ,NO HEATING ON ARRIVAL,NO WARDROBE-OPEN AND DOOR LOOK LIKE IT WAS BROKEN OFF!!DIRTY FRONT.
Meals were excellent - great variation in menu and food was hot at all times. Evening cabaret ( especially Thursday ) also excellent
Everything about the Rainbow and Torquay was very enjoyable.
the staff are very friendly and the breakfast is very good
the pool etc is quite cold and the entertainment is aimed at the older generation
just nice and comfortable
My prior experience stay in Torquay not good the Rainbow made it good again room for one good all facilities the breakfast in the morning well worth me getting up (I ate enough for two) nobody stopped me and from a buffet point of view good not dried up like some
Noisey neighbours door slamming not the hotels fault. Bit tight for space car parking
We thought that all of the staff was very polite helpfull and friendly.the food was very good and plenty of it so well done to all kitchen staff who worked very hard. The other guest was all very friendly.
The bed was very uncomfortable and creaked on any movement we had to ask for extra blankets to lie on.the hotel was not suitable for elderly guests with a mobility problem and there was stairs to negotiate when wanting to use the toilet or the main function room the hotel needs a major update very soon.
comfort of bed, quiet surroundings
the staff were very helpful , swimming pool dinning room food every thing was lovely
the woman swearing at a member of staff felt so sorry for her
Location of the hotel was good close enough to walk to the centre, uphill on the way back but not too hard. Staff excellent, very helpful and friendly. Good Value.
slightly tired but the rooms were clean and the bedlinen fresh and good quality.
Good sized room. Nice view.
Food was poor quality. A single cheap sachet of shower gel between us was not replaced after use. Empty sachets from previous occupants were still in the shower.
the freedom dining and Wi-Fi access and bar staff quick and effiecent all you need for relaxing holiday
coach parties just rude talked all the through cabaret acts all week spoilt it for everyone
The night staff were very, very helpful as were the waiting staff in the restaurant and the lovely lady that cleaned the room. Loads of really hot water which is always very welcome.
The lift is so inadquate and for some reason we had a room with 4 beds for 2 of us and therefore no room to move we did not suit our needs at all
The food was excellent entertainment was good and an enjoyable break
The fuse tripped a couple of times in our room
all friendly and helpfull
