The hotel was very pleasant and all staff were most helpful and very polite.
Rooms very old and durty, tiles broken on toilet and dirty. Kids were scared with noise on coredor as drunk people would make noise. Beds and bed sheet very dirty.
Breakfast was good
has no steam sonar facility
Just in need of a bit of updating
could hear every sound of the upstairs bedroom , who kept us awake all night long. Bedrooms need modernising as very dated, also phone in room didnt work at all !staff lacking in customer service, half of them act like they dont want to be there! Downstairs function room very small with no atmosphere!
Size of room Comfort of bed Wardrobe space
Thin walls No duvets - sheets & blankets No bath mat
The location is just about far enough away from the town centre.
The room was not up to expectations. Décor looked very tired. Curtains had cigarette burns, the bathroom extractor didn't work. room was not cleaned as would be expected. The curtains did not pull fully across the windows and external paint peeling badly. There had obviously been a water leak from above because the ceiling was stained and marked and stains on the walls. Very disappointing. Will not go back again.
We had booked in high season and with high occupancy in Torquay there was not much choice, however the hotel is in desperate need of renovation, the rooms are very tatty, Windows rotting, holes in walls where equipment has long since been remove but it was the room rate that shocked the most, it felt cheap but the price gave me nothing to cheer about
For us the location was perfect as our venue was right across the street. Also easy access to Torquay itself , we walked to the town and back again but there did seem to be lots of public transport available. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, everywhere was clean and tidy. A nice stay for us .
We have stayed here before and the breakfast was better last time, I only had the toast and cereal, but my friend had the cooked breakfast and it wasn't as good as the last time. She said it seemed like it was from the day before or warmed up!.
The show the front desk were ok the break fast was ok
Bed matress very uncomfortable windows need to be changed for double glazing morning noise to much of a long wait for the toaster
location and friendly staff
Staff and location great
Décor very dated and rather grubby looking
Swimming Pool Friendly Staff
Loud Music from Disco Limited Buffet Breakfast Options
the indoor pool, food was very good staff very helpful and the entertainment was good for the mature customers like ourselves.breakfast could do with starting earlier than 7.45 am because we lost out on breakfast due to coach conections
the decor, room a little cramp no bath mat I felt this was health and safety issue. My husband couldn't get in and out of bath due to his poor mobility Rooms need walk in showers for the disabled customers.
The food in the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, rock hard eggs poorly cooked bacon, sausages, ditto, Rooms disgusting, noise from the lifts and other guests, a lot,I could go on but what's the use?.
room was bad, pool was not clean entrance stairs and outside dirty. no bin in bathroom, no hairdryer. bed very bad had only 2hrs sleep.
Room very warm and no fans available. Also lift not working for the whole of our stay
If your spending £45 pp inc Breakfast, in August. I think cracking value for money. If you want modern, brand new and not Fawlty Towers then expect to pay in excess of £120 pp. Our rooms were small and dated, but clean, tidy, everything we needed for our stay. Would use again for night away. Wouldn't use for family trip as we like to treat ourselves to something really special then. Service and staff cracking!
Night Porter grumpy!
Food was good an the waiters were very good Reception staff were very supportive and dealt with any questions immediately Pool facilities were very good an the maintenance man was so friendly and cheerful at all times when we saw him around the hotel an monitoring the quality if the pool I will be returning to this hotel and have passed on details to my family The club was good and couldn't be heard when in bedrooms Excellent
The mattress I like my own
Where do I start, this hotel is a serious health and safety risk, the windows open sooo wide that people can throw things out which then land on your car, police were called and the man arrested but the hotel did not give a dam, I am pursuing these matters further.
Losing sleep on last night due to fighting in rooms next to us.Lads kicking in fire door next to our room. And chucking things out of windows out onto cars below.
dated rooms and facilities, Hotel is tired and run down
The décor - all needs updating. Very old fashioned. Bathroom definitely needs ripping out.
The hotel was lovely and the facilities were great.. All the staff were helpful, friendly and polite. Overall it wasn't a bad place.
The décor in the bedroom was like something from the 1940's it needs a complete re-vamp. And new beds.
