the staff were very helpful , swimming pool dinning room food every thing was lovely
the woman swearing at a member of staff felt so sorry for her
Location of the hotel was good close enough to walk to the centre, uphill on the way back but not too hard. Staff excellent, very helpful and friendly. Good Value.
slightly tired but the rooms were clean and the bedlinen fresh and good quality.
Good sized room. Nice view.
Food was poor quality. A single cheap sachet of shower gel between us was not replaced after use. Empty sachets from previous occupants were still in the shower.
the freedom dining and Wi-Fi access and bar staff quick and effiecent all you need for relaxing holiday
coach parties just rude talked all the through cabaret acts all week spoilt it for everyone
The night staff were very, very helpful as were the waiting staff in the restaurant and the lovely lady that cleaned the room. Loads of really hot water which is always very welcome.
The lift is so inadquate and for some reason we had a room with 4 beds for 2 of us and therefore no room to move we did not suit our needs at all
The food was excellent entertainment was good and an enjoyable break
The fuse tripped a couple of times in our room
all friendly and helpfull
Location. 15 min walk to Torquay town. Excellent breakfasts.
More like an old folks home than a hotel. Tacky 'Sun reader' entertainment. Our first room (310), hideously decorated, thankfully they moved us.
The room was fairly large which was nice, the staff were courteous and accommodating. the location was ideal.
food very good , entertainment and entertainment room very good ,bar reasonable
room in need of makeover ,pillars smelly asked to be changed and done straight away
swimming pool breakfast friendly staff location size of family room cleanliness
Decor a bit old fashioned Lots of steps could be a problem for those with walking difficulties although stair lifts were there
The staff were very friendly, the entertainment suited our needs. The food was hot and well presented with a large selection available.
It was too hot in the dining room and our room. The shower in our room was either too hot or too cold.
Beds were really uncomfortable and broken. The bunk beds had screw sticking out. The base of the main double was broken, which added to an even more uncomfortable nights sleep. The room door banged every time the outdoor corridor was open and the tiles on the bathroom floor were all broken (with sharp edges in places). initially the room looked clean, but the ledge by the radiator (which the children's beds were against) was filthy.
The hotel was very pleasant and all staff were most helpful and very polite.
Rooms very old and durty, tiles broken on toilet and dirty. Kids were scared with noise on coredor as drunk people would make noise. Beds and bed sheet very dirty.
Breakfast was good
has no steam sonar facility
Just in need of a bit of updating
could hear every sound of the upstairs bedroom , who kept us awake all night long. Bedrooms need modernising as very dated, also phone in room didnt work at all !staff lacking in customer service, half of them act like they dont want to be there! Downstairs function room very small with no atmosphere!
Size of room Comfort of bed Wardrobe space
Thin walls No duvets - sheets & blankets No bath mat
The location is just about far enough away from the town centre.
The room was not up to expectations. Décor looked very tired. Curtains had cigarette burns, the bathroom extractor didn't work. room was not cleaned as would be expected. The curtains did not pull fully across the windows and external paint peeling badly. There had obviously been a water leak from above because the ceiling was stained and marked and stains on the walls. Very disappointing. Will not go back again.
We had booked in high season and with high occupancy in Torquay there was not much choice, however the hotel is in desperate need of renovation, the rooms are very tatty, Windows rotting, holes in walls where equipment has long since been remove but it was the room rate that shocked the most, it felt cheap but the price gave me nothing to cheer about
For us the location was perfect as our venue was right across the street. Also easy access to Torquay itself , we walked to the town and back again but there did seem to be lots of public transport available. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, everywhere was clean and tidy. A nice stay for us .
We have stayed here before and the breakfast was better last time, I only had the toast and cereal, but my friend had the cooked breakfast and it wasn't as good as the last time. She said it seemed like it was from the day before or warmed up!.
The show the front desk were ok the break fast was ok
Bed matress very uncomfortable windows need to be changed for double glazing morning noise to much of a long wait for the toaster
location and friendly staff
