Location

Room had just been painted very strong smell of paint and varnish. Had to ask for bath mats and shower curtain. No biscuits with room refreshments . Lacking in the finer points of a hotel ie tissuies etc in room . could be better.

my room very like a furnished corridor ,far too hot ,old water marks on ceiling,windows that wouldnt open far enough and from the cobwebs hadnt been clean for months.The iron was in an awful condition,the kettle old,the mattress too soft .I could go on

Breakfast was nice.

Room was in what can only be described as a converted garage block. Not in main building. Told to go around to find. Could not see any access into the main hotel from my room. Windows did not close properly. Toilet had been used and not flushed! Car park was totally full but was advertised as no reservation required. Had it not been a last minute booking I would have asked for a refund and found somewhere else. Would definitely not pay the full rate they were asking for. Have stayed in other Torquay hotels which charged less but were much better.

Very tired hotel,in need of major updating,it was like returning to the 70's

The buffet restaurant, although the same fayre all week it was well cooked and tasty. And because i could help myself to whatever i liked .

Staff not having nametags

Great locatoin, hotel within a couple of minuites from sea front. Lots of bars and restaurants.

Torquay is a great location for all ages but their is a lack of public toilets.

The overall ambience and friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. Water was hot. the food was excellent...both breakfast and dinner. Liked the fact that chefs came and spoke with the customers

Larg variation in prices for the same accomadation, we paid £50 more than our friends and £24 more than other friends who had dinner included, ours was only B&B. Very narrow carridors, beds with thin matresses,polistirene tiles on ceilings (fire hasard). We could not sleep because the noise from roudy guests and slamming doors, all in all very poor.

All the staff were excellent very nice people. hotel near beach.entertainers were very good. it must have been hard singing to few people. Restaurant very good.

First inpressions the carpets want a good clean, alot needs updating. but saying that a lovely friendly hotel. I feel. the manager could make more eye contact, and speak first. would definately stay again

the fact i was told it was ten pounds for evening meal and then told it was fiveteen pounds per person i dont think the choice of food was value for money

I liked the pool and the size of my room!

The stains on my settee, the mildew in the bathroom, the poor state of some of the furniture and the long quite narrow dingy corridors

Relaxed atmosphere and the room was quite pleasant.

The bedroom radiator did not respond to the thermostat!

It was clean and comfortable

to noisy, floorboards in rooms above creaked so much woke us up early in the morning. You could hear conversations from above.furniture was shabby and drawers were broken.
