Room size good. Clean bathroom.
No hot chocolate, as I only drink this I was a little disappointed. Bathroom gets completely soaked after and during a shower, better ventilation is needed, and a drain to stop all of the floor getting wet.
great value for the money
beds could be a little bit bigger and better quality
There was a Christmas party in full flow in the open plan ground floor so the noise Wes deafening, lots of drunks, no food available. Breakfast buffet non existent next morning. All round terrible
Location was good, and the food in restaurant for dinner was nice. (Long wait to be seated, when only 5 others in restaurant?)
The smell in the room from the bathroom was awful!! There was a real boggy smell coming from the drains. We were very tired after a long journey so just wanted to sleep & a family funeral the next day meant we didn't want the upheaval of changing. The cramped room & small sofa bed
Breakfast was excellent. Everything piping hot, including the plates!!!
- signs in the bathroom about towels - having a full breakfast meal for a fair price - staff looked after my needs when I had to book earlier - friendly staff
- that I booked online saying that I want to book in at 8 and I had to wait until 10:30 in the lounge after a night shift and not sleeping for 12 hours.
Quiet room and choice at breakfast
Some signs of wear in corridor
Bed too small. Could hear noise along corridor. Room too warm. Staff a helpful but surly.
The staff were very helpful. The Toby Carvery is great for breakfast!
The bed was uncomfortable with springs protruding through. The rooms are ok if very basic, the bathroom was nice. Tea & coffee provided but there was no refill for 3 day stay - it seemed that this hotel is cutting corners to save a few pennies in areas that people actually want i.e. A comfortable bed and a cup of tea.
The receptionist allowed me to check in early without charging a fee
Staff at restaurant bar all stood around chatting. When I approached to order food was told sorry chef is too busy as we have a xmas function on
Staff are warm, welcoming and helpful. Rooms are clean, well-equipped and have superb wet rooms.Lovely breakfasts with a wide choice of food. Excellent value for money.
Everything was perfect.
love this hotel and stay often
Mattress very hard
The evening meal and breakfast we had was of excellent quality and choice. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was a very pleasant surprise.
I live close to the hotel and meet family and friends here a lot and the staff are always friendly and helpful
The cleanliness overall, the friendliness of the staff. The fact that we were able to get a drink when we came in (unlike the last visit)
- Location close to town centre and motorway
- very loud - room uncomfortably warm and unable to open window due to loud traffic - mattress was too low and hard -Pillows were extremely lumpy and woke up with a stiff neck
Quiet and clean and practical room for business.
Very simple breakfast
Clean pleasant hotel
The sofa bed was very small would have been more comfortable if it was the full size of the seetee
Spacious and generally comfortable room, with all aminities you would expect. very clean and a great power shower.
Mattress was obviously older and needed replacing. Lighting in the room was not great as a bulb had gone, but thats being really picky. Railway line is very close to the back of the hotel and you can hear the trains however they dont run all through the night.
clean rooms, hard floor which I think is better than carpet. value for money, although room rates fluctuate a great deal. staff pleasant, breakfast selection satisfactory
shower pressure fluctuations shouldn't happen in a hotel. no wifi in rooms, has to be a must! limited tv channels should at least be freeview
Nice large car park, friendly and helpful receptionist. She was very efficient and with in seconds of us asking for a taxi number, she had rang and booked a taxi for us later that night. Nice clean bar and eating area. Room very clean and bed comfy with 2 nice pillows each. Usual buffet styled breakfast but excellent value at £7 each and was continually being topped up.
Every fine. Would be nice if food could be ordered after 9:30, but not a complaint.
It's to faraway from city
Family group of 7 booked on line explained we would be arriving before check in, arrived met by Joanne who was so nice to us gave us our rooms dealt with everything during our stay, she made it feel like we were at home, all staff v friendly and helpful
Staff were friendly, check-in was swift, room was clean and ready
bed was to soft, no bath in room although description on web said their would be
Looked nice from the outside. Reception was nice looking.
We had a 3 person room, my poor friend on the single sofa bed, and honestly I've never felt a bed like it. The mattress was so thin ypu could feel every metal part of the frame. Awful. The double bed wasn't muh better. And the shower was so mouldy I was afraid to go in! I'm very very glad we only stayed one night.
