Ideal for Walsall FC games - hotel is on site. Very quiet considering it's right next to the M6 - ideal for a business traveller.
The mattress on the bed was old and not comfortable - definitely needed a new one. The cooked breakfast is out for a while so cold - needed more attention by staff to ensure the food is kept piping hot and attractive for guests.
Room was a good size. Single beds were larger than most. Bathroom was clean and well lit. All the staff were very nice and helpful.
We found the beds a bit firm for us, but we did sleep ok. Thats something that people will never agree on, so I wouldnt be put off for that reason. Must say a bit poor on the coffee sticks in the room. You only get 2! And even then no decaffe. You have to ask for some. A bit of a let down since wanted to relax after a 300 mile trip with coffee and some to spare.
The cost was very reasonable. Most of the staff were very friendly, and very helpful. The room was absolutely fine and clean.
One very unfriendly member of staff who accused us of not having breakfast included in our package, and then failed to apologise when we showed that it was included. Gym very small and not very well cared for. We informed reception that the tissue dispenser in the gym was empty, and it was still empty the next day.
I liked how quiet it was no nose at all the room was nice and clean .
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had to change room which was done quickly and efficiently. My son had a university interview and they provided an iron and ironing board so I could press his clothes and even sorted the taxi for us!
Just a minor issue think the double glazing could be updated as we could still hear the traffic from the motorway. Maybe not an issue if you have a room at the back
Clean and comfortble room , pleasant staff
Pricey drinks no atmosphere in bar and cold. Overpriced breakfast at ten pounds.
The wifi was ok and parking
Bed was lumpy old and creaked, bathroom stank, spit marks in sink, heating didnt work! It was unreal
It was warm and free parking.
The prices of breakfast is a bit steep at 10.00. Long waiting for omelette and poached eggs as only 1 person cooking.
Amazing wifi, we enjoyed our stay and an extra hour in bed :) breakfast was good too..
No orange juice left in breakfast bar and didn't want to replace it. Didn't like the negative attitude. Buffet means it's topped up at all times.
Clean bright and modern hotel staffed by friendly helpful people. Lovely evening meal and so much choice with the inclusive breakfast we hardly knew where to start, so we tried it all and it was as good as it looked.
The staff where very friendly lovely place and handy for everything
Very good breakfast, included in price. Free Wi-Fi Better overall than Premier Inn
Nothing to dislike
Lifts were smelling
Excellent staff, made us feel very welcoming
It was quite a pleasant hotel, with a comfortable room, and friendly staff. Breakfast was the standard normal for the sort of hotel, and overall good value for money.
The only complaint that we have concerns the noise of the water systems of the room. Several times, during the night, we were disturbed by the loud sound of running water. It was loud enough to seem as though a water pipe had burst.
Everything was perfect
Nice place as functional hotels go, well furnished, bar open "until whenever", and staffed by a very accommodating night manager. Easy to get to, lots on on-site parking (and a cashpoint), clean and comfortable.
Surrounding area is a bit grotty: Walsall football ground, railway yards, and the M6 flyover. But if you arrive by car (as most people do) then this won't be an issue.
Really comfy bed and although by the motorway very quiet.
Location great if you want to attend Bescot Stadium but the area is a bit dark and gloomy at night.
Staff on reception good
The fire alarm went off Thursday morning I came from the 3rd floor to reception and the FIRE MARSHALS DID NOT HAVE A CLUE WHAT TO DO They were dithering trying to take the new Hi viz tops from the plastic bag this is some 10 min after the fire alarm had sounded. You had guests queuing trying to pay their bills !!!!! I asked the poor girl on reception what she was doing still in the building WITH THE FIRE ALARM RINGING. She told me SHE DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. As a health & safety consultant and fire marshal trainer I told her to get out of the building to your muster point NOW with me.
Rooms were very modern. Nice and clean. Air con n heating. Comfy bed and settee to chill out
fire alarm went off at 5am in the morning
Very pleasant customer focused staff
Would of been nice to have Breakfast included in the price
There was nothing to do for young children
Good location for rail arrival (and road). Room clean and functional.
Evening meal prices and bar prices rather expensive
