When i asked for fried eggs on the second morning at first i was told it had finished then told they had run out of eggs. really - a kitchen running out of eggs!!!
The hotel was very good for us, as we were visiting family over christmas. Staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us. Could and will recommend this hotel to anyone.
It was conveniently located for my plans & staff were friendly. Room was basic & clean.
Sounded like there was a lady of the night working next door! The door kept being opened & locked constantly until the early hours of the morning & she was very expressive!!! Felt sooo tired the next day for a long drive home, not good. The bathroom smelt of stinky drains - please get them cleaned out!!
car park 250 mts away poorly signed Uncomfortable and noiesy bed. breakfast had sat their for over an hour. We attended at 9.00 am. Coffee machine needs slinging in the dockyard. Absolutely no atmosphere NEVER AGAIN !!!
Highly recommend polite staff, very good location will be returning again
Interesting view from bedroom window Shower/wet room very good Coffee at breakfast.
Bedroom floor hard laminate instead of carpet so it looks cold and is cold to the feet. Limited number of channels on TV and only radio stations are BBC radio 1 and 2! I like radio 3. Breakfast very poor for the price. I don't know what the Scrambled eggs were but they certainly weren't eggs! Hash brown tasted bad,and no tomatoes.Sausage and bacon were the only edible things.
Friendly and courteous staff good location to shops, cinema, and restaurants also
Wifi kept cutting out Room felt too cold even after turning up thermostat in room
Bed was broke and very squeeky
Friendly and accomodating staff who always had a smile.
Room was good size and clean. Has bar and restaurant and only a short taxi ride away from centre of town.
as my second visit here yes everything was good thank and I would visit again
no wardrobe.just hanger in the open.besides that everything was good thankyou
Location very near Fort Amherst where our event took place. Easy to find, close to pubs. Staff professional and delightful. Great breakfast!
Nothing but bed could be a little comfier.
Cold laminate floors in rooms. If you are going to have laminate floors why cant you have underfloor heating.
The staff was friendly and helped when needed.
The car park was full of pot holes and was not sign posted clearly, i wasn't sure i was in the right place. After checking in, the man at the desk caught us before we went into our room. The room that we was meant to stay in already had a man in it, if the man hadn't had caught us, we would have walked in on a man. When we finally got into our right room (next door to the pervious room) the room smelt like someone had been smoking. The bedding and even the curtains stank of smoke.
the room was good not the bed
the bed was rubbish
warm and comfortable
no shower gel or shampoo. the lights made a buzzing noise
nice size room, free wi fi everywhere, kettle with coffee/teal in room, nice tv, clean, excellent shower room, warm,
bed a little unstable -if you moved around on it a bit you think it might break it.. its a little hard, noisy neighbours (young kids running in the corridor after 10pm!)
room was lovely , clean and comfortable
Walk in shower
Limited hanging space
All times I went out from hotel and come back I had to change my magnetic key because they didnt work!
Waited 10min to be attended to at reception because receptionist was also inBeing charge of serving beers at the bar. Being allocated a twin room with single beds whilst the booking was for a double! Staff blaming Booking.com for mishap. Noisy AirCon unit.
Stayed here for the Dickens Festival in December and was very impressed. Rooms comfortable and very clean as was the rest of the hotel. Location convenient, plenty of parking space and helpful and friendly staff. Ideal as a base for a weekend break.
We came back from the local night club at about 2 am, and was hungry, we asked the night staff if there was any chance of some food the night staff were very accommodating and made us some sandwiches , a thank you to the night staff and manager. You made our new years day even better
A/C noisy and was whistling when switched off .
The hotel was very convenient for us, being 10mins walk from Dickens World where we were going for New Year's Eve. The hotel itself is very clean with small but comfortable rooms. The bar staff were very accommodating and made food when we returned from our night out. Will definitely stay again
Nothing other than the bar staff
Smell in the room disgusting rotten eggs Staff told me that it was due to an old person who was ill who has been cared for by the council Room freezing wouldn't heat up over 19.5 degrees Staff unable to offer us an alternative other than a smoking room which stunk or bottles of air freshners
